Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation


The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that sustains the Ronald
Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, Air Force One Pavilion, and the Walter and Leonore Annenberg
Presidential Learning Center. Located in Simi Valley, California, the Reagan Library is home to more than 40,000
gifts and artifacts chronicling the life and legacy of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. It now serves as the final resting
place of Americas 40th President and the first lady, Nancy Reagan.

Job Description
The Development Intern of the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center will have the
opportunity to work with a small team in a dynamic professional setting while earning college credit as
determined by the interns university. This position will provide exposure to various fields including Education,
the Museum, and Events.

Responsibilities:
A Development Intern must be a motivated and responsible team player able to multi-task in pursuit of the
following objectives:
Development:
a. Execute donor stewardship and recognition plans with the Director(s) of Major Gifts
b. Catalogue and input data for significant gift donations with the Director(s) of Major Gifts.
c. Craft tailored acknowledgment letters and other correspondence. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
A successful candidate for this position should possess:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize with attention to detail.
Interest in one or more of the following areas: Education, History, Business Management, Non-profits or Museums.
Perform standard office duties including: maintaining office organization, filing, printing, and spreadsheets.
Understand Mac and PC operations and applications like Word, Excel, Presentation, Gmail, and/or outlook are
necessary. Experience with database work is preferred. Correspondence via email, phone, social media.

Requirements:
Applicants must:
Be 18 years of age or older and provide evidence of full time enrollment at a local college or university.
Be able to work a minimum of 10-12 hours a week for ten weeks OR complete 120 hours of service.
Maintain a professional appearance and correspondence.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Reporting Relationships:
This position will report to the Director of Major Gifts of The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and work
closely with the entire Education department and the Education Administrative Coordinator.
