ln any outdoor setting, Lawnaire is an
appealing, decorative motif, designed to
complement all modern environments.
The simple, contemporary styling is
suited for offices, restaurants, small park-
ing lots, churches, campuses, walkways
and residential areas.
Precisely designed optics producing either
a symmetric or asymmetric light pattern
provide a uniformity of illumination with a
minimum of glare.
Constructed of heaw gauge aluminum
and finrshed with a black powder coal,
acrylic enamel, the Lawnaire is exception-
ally durable and weatherproof.
Specif ications
Housing-shall consist of the fixture
base, pole top fitte[ refractof cover
support assembly and top cover.
Pole-Top Fitter-shall be cast aluminum
and shall fit 3-inch O.D. pole tops or vertical
tenons. lt shall be seltaligning on the
tenon and shall be held securely in place
by three corrosion resistant set screws.
The fitter shall hold the cover support
assembly by means of three support arms.
Top Cover-shall be hea4/ gauge spun
aluminum and shallconceal and protect
the electrical components and opiics. lt
shall be held in place on the cover sup
port assembly by a push-button, spring
action latching system.
Photocontrol-shall be optional and shall
be of the button type located on the
cover support assembly
Refractor-shall be prismalic borosili-
cate glass and shall be hemispherical
shape. lt shall be mounted in the cover sup-
port assembly and shall be held in place
by the retlector assembly.
Optics-borosilicate glass ref ractor and
specular aluminum reflector shall provide
svmmetric or asvmmetric Iight pattern
Cover Support Assembly-shall be
heaw gauge sheet aluminum and shall
accommodate all electrical and optical
components including lamp socket, bal-
last, terminal block, interlock switch,
cover latch, refractor and reflector

Sockei-shall be porcelain enclosed and
shall accommodate medium screw base
lamps for 75 watt mercury fixtures and
mogul screw base lamps for all other
fixtures. lt shall be part of the reflector
assembly and shall be positioned to pro
vide proper location ofthe lamp for max-
imum optical efficiency.
Ballasts-shall be of a dedicated design
for the lamp type specified and at the volt-
age specified.
Mercury Lamp Ballast-shall be of the
constant wattage, high power factor type.
High Pressure Sodium Ballast-shall be 2511r'
of the high reactance, high power facior
type for 70, 100 and 150 wati lamps. For
150 watt, single 120 volt input units it shall
be of the reactor normal power factor
type and tor 250 watt lamps shall be con
stant wattage autotranstormer, high power
factor type.
lnterlock Switch-shall be positioned on
the cover support assembly so that cur
rent to the internal circuitry is disrupted
when the cover is removed. EPA 1.1
Finish all external metal surfaces shall
be black powder coat acrylic enamel
except cover support which shall be a
white color
