OBJECTIVES: Content Standard : 2.2 Can apply a range of strategies to comprehend texts related to everyday living.
Learning Standard : 2.2.1 Demonstrate understanding by: (i) Identifying main ideas in given texts.
2.2.2 Locate and organize information by : (i) using graphic organizers
2.3.1 Read various texts and retrieve information by : (i) skimming and scanning
STEPS ACTIVITY
1 1. Teacher gives background information on the topic.
LESSON DEVELOPMENT 2. The class then reads the article out aloud together.
3. Teacher explains the article to the students and the class discusses about the content.
4. They then discusses the exercises given with the teacher and work on them in class. Unfinished work
is to be completed at home.
5. Answers for the tasks completed will be checked and discussed in class today if time permits.
