Welcome to Ms.

Cannons
Fourth Grade Class!
Classroom Information
August 30, 2017

Bell Schedule:
8:35 Trickle In (First bell)
All students who get off the bus will be dropped off in front of the building. The
parent drop off lane is to the side of the building near the library. Please use
safety when dropping your child off and watch for others. Since your 4th graders
are of an age that they can be responsible, please let them walk into the school
on their own. There will be teachers on bus duty to help your child get safely out
of the car and into the building. We kindly request that you NEVER use the bus
loop in the front of the school as it is not safe for our bus students. This will also
help to make drop off and pick-up less congested.

Students should enter the building from the front doors. All other doors will be
locked. Students are allowed to make their way to the classroom at this time.
(Students are not allowed to walk through the hallways or to go to their lockers
before 8:35. Should you need to drop off before then, you may sign your child up
for Child Care in the gym.) During trickle-in time students may eat breakfast
provided in the classroom and get ready for the school day.

8:45 Tardy Bell (Second bell)

We will begin the school day promptly at this time. If a student is not in school by
the second bell I will mark him/her absent. Should your child be tardy, please
make sure that he or she stops by the office so the secretary can change the
attendance from tardy to present.

11:40 - 12:25 Lunch

Fourth and first graders will eat lunch together and followed by recess on the
playground, weather permitting. If they cannot go outside, students will return to
the classroom and have indoor recess.
2:30 2:45 Recess
Students will have two recesses daily (one at lunch and one in the afternoon)
except for Thursday. Please dress your child accordingly.

3:52 First Dismissal Bell

Students who walk home, get picked up, or attend Child Care are dismissed at
this time.

3:57 Second Dismissal Bell

Students who ride the bus are dismissed. They will wait in my classroom with the
teacher until their bus is called.
