Zamboanga City

Zamboanga City is called Asias Latin City because of its Spanish-tinged Chabacano dialect dating back to
the earliest foreign occupation of the Philippines in the 1600s. This musical language is a huge part of
Zamboangeno culture. Youll find a lot of its influence in local song and dance. Zamboanga City (Chavacano:
Ciudad de Zamboanga) is a highly urbanized city located in Mindanao, Philippines. ... Zamboanga City is an
independent city, which became a highly urbanized city on November 22, 1983, and is not part of the three
provinces in Zamboanga Peninsula.

Dapitan City

Dapitan traces its beginnings long before the Spanish conquistadores set foot on the island of Mindanao. Its
earliest settlers were the Subanens, a nomadic tribe of Indonesian stock known to have settled and lived along
the banks of the river or suha out of which their present day tribal identity originated. Dubbed as the fastest
growning tourism economy of the south, Dapitan boasts a number of world-class resorts and the sole one-of-
a-kind theme park in Mindanao.

Dipolog City

Dipolog is the capital city of Zamboanga del Norte and one of its main attractions is the Dipolog Boulevard.
The esplanade is full of various facilities for recreational activities like basketball courts, playgrounds, and skate
rails. The people lounge by the bay to catch a glimpse of the sunset before the boulevard becomes one of the
most popular places to enjoy the nightlife in the city. Dipolog is known for its wild orchids and its sardine
industry which stems from the rich fishing area off its shores. It is known as the "Gateway to Western
Mindanao" through the Western Nautical Highway and has also been called the "Bottled Sardines Capital of
the Philippines.
