 PRESENTACIN

La elaboracin del presente trabajo de investigacin se realiz con el

cumplimiento de todos los requisitos dados por la institucin educativa Mundo

Mejor.

La estructura de nuestro trabajo es un requisito importante para lograr las

metas establecidas para el cierre del quinto ao de educacin secundaria.

El propsito de este trabajo de investigacin es llegar a la conclusin de si

existe influencia del nivel de depresin en el autocuidado del adulto mayor.

Los datos fueron obtenidos de los adultos mayores que se encuentran en el

Hospicio Santiago Apstol en el presente ao.

Los resultados alcanzados de la influencia de la depresin en el autocuidado

servirn para que las instituciones de salud puedan mejorar la calidad de

cuidado y as favorecer positivamente en la salud y bienestar de cada adulto

mayor.

 RESUMEN

El presente trabajo de investigacin se titula Influencia de la depresin en el

autocuidado del adulto mayor en el Hospicio Santiago Apstol de la ciudad de

Chimbote - ao 2016.

En el captulo I se describe el problema, el cual fue: En qu medida la

depresin influye en el autocuidado del adulto mayor en el Hospicio Santiago

Apstol de la ciudad de Chimbote - Ao 2016? y se justifica el porqu de la

eleccin de este tema. Tambin estn presentes las limitaciones que se

presentaron en la realizacin de este trabajo y las soluciones que se dieron,

adems se observa los antecedentes a este trabajo y el objetivo general

planteado que fue: Determinar la influencia de la depresin en el nivel de

autocuidado en el adulto mayor en el Hospicio Santiago Apstol de la ciudad

de Chimbote - Ao 2016.

En el captulo II se presenta el marco terico donde se detallan conceptos y

argumentos que sustentan nuestro trabajo de investigacin.

Se puede apreciar en el captulo III que la hiptesis general fue: La depresin

influye de manera negativa en el autocuidado del adulto mayor en el Hospicio

Santiago Apstol de la ciudad de Chimbote - Ao 2016 y que se utilizaron dos

variables como referencia: la depresin y el autocuidado en el adulto mayor, lo

cual vendra a ser nuestro punto de partida para la investigacin.

Nuestra investigacin es del tipo: Descriptivo-Correlacional, siendo nuestra

poblacin los adultos mayores de 60 aos a ms del Hospicio Santiago

Apstol, con una muestra de 15 adultos mayores. Se realiz el mtodo de

investigacin cualitativa y cuantitativa, se hizo uso de una ficha de encuesta

como instrumento para recolectar los datos necesarios.

En el captulo IV los datos obtenidos se analizaron y registraron en estadsticas

descriptivas, con datos no agrupados mediante cuadros de doble entrada y

grficos circulares y se obtuvieron as los resultados.

En el captulo V se encuentran las conclusiones y sugerencias en base a los

resultados obtenidos y a la experiencia que tuvimos al hacer el trabajo de

investigacin. En el captulo VI se pueden observar las referencias

bibliogrficas la cual fue linkgrafa.

Finalmente en el captulo VII se encuentran los anexos, entre ellos la ficha de

encuesta realizada, la matriz de la problemtica, la matriz de consistencia, los

cuadros de valoracin y evidencias fotogrficas.

 ABSTRACT

This research paper is entitled "Influence of depression in the elderly self-care

at the Hospice St. James in the city of Chimbote - 2016".

In Chapter I the problem, which was described: "To what extent depression

affects self-care of the elderly at the Hospice St. James in the city of Chimbote -

Year 2016?" And why the choice is justified this topic. the limitations presented

in the realization of this work and the solutions given are also present, plus the

background to this work and the overall objective was observed: "To determine

the influence of depression on the level of self-care the elderly in Santiago

Apostol Hospice city of Chimbote - Year 2016. "

In chapter II the theoretical framework concepts and arguments that support our

research presents detailed.

It can be seen in Chapter III that the general hypothesis was: "Depression has a

negative influence on the self-care of the elderly at the Hospice St. James in the

city of Chimbote - Year 2016" and that two variables reference were used:

depression and self-care in the elderly, which would become our starting point

for research.

Our research is of the type: "Descriptive-Correlational", being our adult

population over 60 years to more than Hospice St. James, with a sample of 15

older adults. The method of qualitative and quantitative research was done, was

done using a tab survey as a tool to collect the necessary data.

In Chapter IV the data obtained were analyzed and recorded in descriptive

statistics, with ungrouped data by double-entry tables and pie charts and the

results thus obtained.

In Chapter V conclusions and suggestions are based on the results obtained

and the experience we had to do research work. In Chapter VI we can see the

bibliographic references which were phy link.

Finally in Chapter VII are the annexes, including the record of survey, the matrix

of the problem, the matrix of consistency, valuation tables and photographic

evidence.
