Description
This class will explore the foundations of algebra, and enforce the skills needed for
higher-level math courses. It will cover the 7th grade Minnesota Math Standards, and
will follow the 7th grade math course

Materials
-a writing utensil(Pen(Blue or Black), Pencil)
-iPad (EVERYDAY)

Grading Break Down Grade

50% -In-Class work 93-100=A/90-93=A-
50%- Participation 87-89=B+/83-87=B/80-83=B-
77-79 =C+/73-77=C/70-73=C-
67-69= D+/63-67=D/60-63=D-
Below 60= I/U/F
In-Class work
The assignment that we are working on that day in class. This can be up to three
different parts lumped together. We will also be using IXL and other programs.

Participation

There will be a warm-up every day on the board. You will also be given a daily
grade(depending on week.) Daily this is 5 points. Absences will follow the student
handbook. Behavior, Phone use, tardiness, and respect are what is graded.

Electronics
As per the student handbook, I am not to see your phone. They are not allowed
in the classroom. They are to be put in the bins at the start of class, and they
will not be retrieved until the end of class. If I have to take it, I will keep it until
the end of the day. If I have to take it a second time, it will be in the office
waiting for you by the end of the day. If I see your phone you loss all in class
points for the day.

Office Hours
I want to help you! I will be here before and after school almost every day. If you are
stuck at home feel, free to send me an email. I will get back to you with an answer or
ask to meet up to go over the material more in-depth. I will respond as soon as
possible.

Passes
Unless it is a life or death emergency, you are only allowed to leave the classroom
during notes. Only one student is allowed to leave the classroom at a time. Any
student out of the classroom must have a pass.
