HAPPENINGS
Fourth grade is off to a great start!
In math, we have completed chapter one, and are cruising
through chapter two. We are focusing on using the place
value knowledge from chapter one to find the value of each
digit; round numbers to the nearest 10 and 100; estimate
sums, differences, products, and quotients. We also
introduced factors and multiples. We will start working in
chapter three on whole number multiplication and division.
Having mastered the skills in multiplication and division,
students will apply what they have learned to solve real-

Upcoming
world problems. Please review vocabulary words such as
product, quotient, and remainder when solving problems at
home. Students need to know their basic

Events multiplication and division facts.
