NEWS ITEM

1. The 1st convocation of the GITAM University is scheduled to be conducted on 28-08-2010. The
candidates who have successfully completed their courses at the 2009 & 2010 Main
Examinations are only eligible for the award of M.Phil., PG Degree and Diplomas in this
convocation.

2. Candidates who wish to obtain their M.Phil., PG Degrees and Diplomas IN-PERSON or
IN-ABSENTIA should apply in the prescribed Proforma, enclosing a Demand Draft for the amount
specified, drawn in favour of GITAM University, Visakhpatnam from any Nationalized Bank. The
proforma can be downloaded from GITAM University website (www.gitam.edu).

FEE PRESCRIBED: IN-PERSON - Rs.500/-

: IN-ABSENTIA - Rs.900/-

3. LAST DATE: The last date for receipt of the duly filled in applications along with enclosures for
both IN-PERSON and IN-ABSENTIA is 10-08-2010.

4. The filled in applications alongwith enclosures and the Demand Draft should be sent in a cover
duly superscribing “APPLICATION FOR CONVOCATION 2010” to Dr. Shaik Kalesha Vali,
Controller of Examinations, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam on or before 10-08-2010.
Applications received after the due date and those incompleted will not be considered and will
summarily be rejected without any intimation.

5. The awardees of different Medals and Prizes for M.Phil., PG Degrees and Diplomas will be
intimated.

(i) Successful candidates of 2009 & 2010 Main Examinations are only eligible to apply for this
Convocation. M.Phil., Post Graduate Degree & Diplomas will be awarded.
(ii) Candidates applying for M.Phil., Post Graduate Degree & Diploma should enclose attested xerox copy
Of the lower degree.
(iii) Candidates applying for more than one Degree/Diplomas should submit separate application forms
With the prescribed fee.
