Task to be completed: The definition of value is, the regard that something
is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something. The definition of
a norm is, a standard or pattern, especially of social behavior, that is typical or
expected of a group. Given these definitions, brainstorm elements you value in a
successful leader and team. Once youve brainstormed, narrow down your choices to
one value. Once you selected the value you and your team are inspired by the most,
communicate potential norms (what the value looks like and sounds like) for your
team and the rest of the classroom. Be prepared to present your ideas.

Team Values and Norms can be presented through a song, rap, poem,
skit, interpretive dance or poster. (Songs, raps, poems, skits and
dances should be paired with a written/typed script or description)
Your project should include the following:
Definition of an effective leader
Definition of an effective team
The value (ie. respect) your group chose that exemplifies an
effective leader and effective team
A list of norms (pattern) that align to your chosen value (ie.
What does this value look like and sound like among an
effective leader and effective team)
 Information neatly handwritten or typed
Presentation prepared and rehearsed.

1 o Values/Norms project does not clearly define key terms nor does it clearly express a
value and norms an effective leader and effective team should follow
