7th Grade Math Contract

Please read and sign the bottom portion and return to school by Tuesday,
September 5th.

Four Ps: Students will be expected to follow the Reid Middle School expectations.
Each student is expected to be prompt for class, prepared with all materials, polite
to all people, and participate in each class by contributing to the lesson/discussions
and completing all assignments.

Materials: Students will be expected to bring their binder, planner, completed

homework assignment, and a pencil to class every day. It is important to note, that
in addition to the planner being used for recording daily assignments and to help
keep students organized, it will also serve as a hall pass. If any student needs to be
excused from class for any reason (bathroom, nurse, etc.) they must have their
planner with them.

Homework: You should expect math homework Monday thru Thursday nights.
Each homework assignment will be collected and graded. If the student shows
effort, completes the entire assignment, and hands it in on time, the score will be a
100. Late homework will be accepted, however, the grade will be lowered 10
points for each day late. Homework that is more than three days late will not be
accepted and a zero will be recorded in the grade book. If a student is absent
it is their responsibility to ask for missed work upon their return to school,
complete it, and return it in a timely manner.

Tests and Quizzes: Students will be notified in advance of all quizzes and tests. It
is the expectation that students will study for assessments independently. We will
review for tests together, but it is the responsibility of the student to study
independently before each assessment.

Tests 35% Quizzes 30% Participation/Classwork 20% Homework 15%
