attending.

It is our policy to contact you if your child is absent and we do not

know why. We will either text you or telephone you. If you do receive a text please
save the number to your phones memory you can reply to the text messages.

Please try to make appointments such as doctors/dentists/opticians out of school

hours. Your child should not be absent for going shopping, celebrating birthdays,
hairdressing appointments, taking the last day of term off or because a sibling is absent.

It is important that we have an up to date contact number for you at all times.
Why School Attendance is Important
Pupils who go to school regularly are more likely to:
Achieve good standards of work
Gain qualifications
Get on well with others and make friends
Develop positive attitudes to work which will help them later on in life

Pupils who have blocks of time off, miss odd days or are always late are more likely to:
Fall behind with their work
Find it difficult to make and keep friends
Be unhappy at school
Miss out on things happening in the community
Get involved in anti social behaviour

If you would like to talk to someone regarding your childs attendance or punctuality
please call in to school and speak to Mrs Blythe our Inclusion Manager.
