The Violin
History
of
the
Violin:
It
is
believed
the
violin
family
was
developed
in
the
mid
1500s
in
Italy.
The
design
of
the
violin
was
based
upon
three
other
previous
string
instruments;
the
rebec,

Viola
da
Braccio
and
the
Lira
da
Braccio.
It
is
said
that
Gasparo
da
Salo
and
Andrea
Amati
were
the
first
to
make
violins
the
way
we
identify
them
today.

discovered

have
been
created
before
the
1700s.
