What we are learning

This week in reading we have still been focusing on characters. Next week we will begin talking
about setting. We have been using text-to-self connections and using graphic organizers as a
strategy to improve our reading comprehension. Next week we will begin learning about
visualizing. We have been working on identifying the subject and predicate of a complete
sentence and have started identifying declarative and interrogative sentences. We have stated
out first narrative rough draft and will move on to editing. In math, we will be working on place
value and will learn about different ways to represent numbers. In social studies, we are focusing
on describing urban, suburb, and rural communities. In science are learning about the states of
matter and how objects can change from on state to another.
