Safety Inspection

SAFETY INSPECTION TRAINING

Objective of conducting inspection

To decide whether it will continue to work

safely until the next inspection

Or it needs repair.

Competent persons, identified and notified to this

effect, will carry out the inspection.

The rules given here are applicable to the sub

contractors or hired equipment, accessories too.

Remove defective equipment from service

Decision of inspector is final

Review defects during re-inspection

Work shop in-charge shall monitor inspection

Multimeters
Clamp meters
Noise meters
Lux meter
Testers etc.,

Calibrated periodically as per ISO procedures

Tool boxes/ Tools

Inspection once in 3 months

By Supervisors / Foremen / Engineer

Look for damaged tips, broken / damaged


handles, mushroomed heads, make-shift
hand tools and unwanted materials

List of tools under each technician to be


maintained
Fire extinguishers and First aid boxes

Inspection once in a month

By Supervisors / Foremen / Engineer

Fix Inspection tags / Stickers or sign

List of items in first aid box

Register of fire extinguishers


SAFETY INSPECTION TRAINING

On receipt and before use inspection

All new materials, machinery, tools etc,


which has implication to HSE performance
Inspected at the receiving end by the
engineer-in-charge or his representative to
In case of any doubts, they should consult
either MR or any safety officers
immediately.
LPO copy shall be sent along with the
dispatch advice to facilitate the sites to
inspect the materials according to the
specifications.

All inspections mentioned above shall


commence with a review of the previous
inspection reports (wherever applicable) to
verify the compliance of unsafe
observations during the previous inspection.

Checklist A1 inspection
Reports to respective Service Managers
within 24 hours of the inspection
Action taken report shall be sent within 3
working days.
