No.8 Project Title: Deep Learning for EEG data analysis EE-HNS-
03-
Description/Synopsis: EEG data is extensively use din the field of MAY17
neuroscience, cognitive science and psychophysiological research. EEG is non (Dr
stationary, high dimensional and multichannel in nature and creates huge Humaira

for a specific activity.
In recent years, deep learning approaches have been successfully used to
learn represent image data, audio data etc. However, it is not extensively
studied for electroencephalographic (EEG) data. Considering the properties
of EEG data, convolutional neural networks and deep learning networks may
give good results for feature extraction. Compared with other state-of-the-
art feature extraction methods, the learned features using convolutional
deep belief network have better performance.
