Back to school night: Wednesday September 27th
Dress down day: Thursday , September 28th will be
our dress-down day / no uniform day. All KG1 students
will be dressed in Yellow color this day.
show and tell day! This week the kids are going to
be sharing their Me in a bag activity with their
classmates. I will be sending home the instructions
and the paper bag for this activity later this week.

Dear Parents,
Congratulations! Your little ones have successfully finished their first week of Kindergar-
ten! Mrs. Cilia and I had lots of fun with our super stars last week, and we are totally ex-
cited for a great year together! Kindly find below a brief about what we will be doing this
week:

Literacy Inquiry:
We will be reading some great books: Cliffords First Day of School, Going on a Bear
Hunt, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, The kissing hand and Teacher Sleeps at School
We will be learning the correct way to use Scissors, glue sticks, and other classroom
supplies. We will also be practicing with our pencil grip to prepare the kids for writing.
We will be having several name recognition activities, and learning about our classroom
routines and systems.

Math Inquiry:
We will be introducing Unifix cubes, exploring with bear counters, and few more
manipulatives.
We will be practicing counting and reciting numbers through calendar activities, and dif-
ferent math centers.

Unit of Inquiry:
We will be starting our new Unit of Inquiry on Sunday , September 24th.
This week we will be focusing on several assessments for the kids prior knowledge. It is
so important that the students come to school on time by maximum 7:35 am, so that they
wouldnt miss any of their instructional times or their assessments.
