NATIONAL CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION
FOR
ENERGY MANAGERS AND ENERGY AUDITORS
(July 18-22, 2016)

INTRODUCTION
As per the Energy Conservation Act 2001, it is mandatory for all the Designated Consumers
(DCs) to get energy audit conducted by an Accredited Energy Auditor and to designate or appoint
a certified Energy Manager. The Act also specified that the essential qualification for a certified
Energy Manager and Certified Energy Auditor would be the passing of a National level
Certification Examination for Energy Managers and Energy Auditors. This year the certification
examination is scheduled during September 24-25, 2016 (Saturday & Sunday).

In the wake of this a 5 day intensive course is being organized by Gujarat Energy Development
Agency. The course would aim to focus on providing sufficient inputs and knowledge to enable
the participants to review and prepare for various topics/issues of concern for the 17th National
Certification Examination for Energy Managers and Energy Auditors, scheduled to be held during
September, 24-25 2016, (Saturday & Sunday).

This program is sponsored by Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA), which is acting
as a State Designated Agency (SDA) for Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under the Energy
Conservation Act, 2001. The program is conducted by National Productivity Council (NPC),
Gandhinagar during the period July, 18-22, 2016.

The program would cover four modules mentioned below in accordance with
the requirement.

METHODOLOGY

The course comprises detailed discussion of the chapters of each module through
presentations, Exercises, Case studies and quiz etc.

payable at Gandhinagar. The participation in the program will be on first come first serve
basis as seats are limited. Confirmation of Registration to the participants will be at the
discretion of GEDA.

travel and accommodation
