Miocene Pliocene deep water deposits deployed across Java. The outcrop reaches a total
thickness of xxx m. Sandstones in each turbidite system has various mineral assemblages including
quartz, feldspar, and also the rock fragments. The interpreted sedimentary facies is the integration of
the sedimentary structures and also the other geological features that occur in the field.
Miocene Pliocene deep water deposits spread across Java Basin and has variety of
characteristics such as textures, mineral, facies, sedimentary structures, geometry and also
reservoir potential. The main focus of this research is comparing each character of the
formation to obtain feasibility of reservoir. Sandstones in each turbidite system has various
mineral assemblages including quartz, feldspar, and also the rock fragments. The interpreted
sedimentary facies is the integration of the sedimentary structures and also the other
geological features that occur in the field.
The research is comparing Halang Formation and Kerek Formation in Central Java
and also Kebo-Butak Formation and Semilir Formation in East Java. All formation in research
area are influenced by turbidity process. Java has volcanic arc in the center of the island
causing the mixture of the origin materials with the volcanic arc materials.
The volcaniclastic materials injected into turbidity current to form volcanogenic
turbidite deposits.
Thickness of the sandstone is one of the controlling factor to determine reservoir
heterogeneity. The quantification of outcrop data provide additional information among
reservoir quality
Selain komposisKetebalan dari batupasir merupakan salah satu factor penentu kualitas
