of: concrete spillway with three control gates; emergency spillway on the left ank; main water intake for diversion
channel; bottom outlet with the possibility of construction of two more hydro-power plants; main diversion channel
with 80 m3/sek capacity with structures which serves to conduct stored water from the Chira river to the valley of
the Piura river where it is used for irrigation with the posibility to construct later one hydro-power plant more; drain-
age system in the Piura river valley which consists of 454 km drainage channels and of 2000 struktures along it,
including a siphon bellow the Piura river and a 10 m3/sek. capacity temporary Montenegro pumping station.

Malaysia
The Butterworth - Bukit Tambun expressway is a part of expressway linking Bangkok in Thailand, via
Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, with Singapore. This is a high class road the route of which passes through
low swampy terrains adjacent to the sea shore opposite to Penang island. Effects of high tide on water
table are great, so the most structures (bridges and pipe culvers) were founded on piles of various
types. All foundations were constructed in ground/water regime.
