direct relationship to the student's final project. The final project should have a direct relationship to the student's career goals as
developed through advisement. Students interested in this major should contact the Professional Music Department chair as early in their

PROFESSIONAL MUSIC CORE: 14 Credits Required

** Required completion of a significant culminating project per student based on the designated area of concentration whose content and/or
enactment is equal in quality and extent to the demands of the current industry environment.

*** Up to 2 additional levels (2 total credits) of private instruction (PIxx-xxx) on the student's principal instrument or on guitar, voice or
piano as a secondary instrument may be taken as Approved Specified Electives. A total of 2 credits of additional ensembles (ENxx) and/or
