To maximize the SPI of the firm subject to market share, ROI, Volume, Investmnets

Tactical Decisions:
Round 1:
For each brand marketed by you

1. Strategy for the round: We reduce the price of MOVE and increase the price of MOST so that we can
gain more customers. Also, we changed the production units of MOVE as demand will be going to
increase in the next period as per the market forecast.
2. Segmentation-Targeting-Positioning: We position the product MOVE as the affordable one by reducing
its price and we target mainly to SHOPPERS, Professional and Savers.
3. 4Ps: Two products- MOST and MOVE, Price: MOST-275, MOVE- 425, PLACE: SHOPPERS, PROFESSIONALS,
SAVERS, PROMOTION: Using advertising i.e. media and research. Allocated the budget to them.
4. Other comments: Also, bought some market research studies for the further study to decide on the
strategy in the next period.

Round 2:

1. Observations/Learning from the previous round: Competition is going fierce so always track the
competitors. Launch new product as soon as possible as market is fragmented now.
2. Strategy for the round: Invest in R&D for Vodite and modify Sonite product
3. Segmentation-Targeting-Positioning: We are targeting Shoppers, Savers and Professionals and try to
position MOVE as the best product in consumers mind
4. 4Ps: Two products- MOST and MOVE, Price: MOST-275, MOVE- 425, PLACE: SHOPPERS, PROFESSIONALS,
SAVERS, PROMOTION: Using advertising i.e. media and research. Allocated the budget to them.
5. Other comments: R&D cost for Vodite is very high so it needs two periods to complete

1. Observations/Learning from the previous round: Investment in R&D costs us in SPI and we are late in the
industry now. We are very late in launching new products for Sonite. Price war is happening which
results in slowdown in the industry.
2. Strategy for the round: Complete the R& D as soon as possible. Reduce the advertising expenses
3. Segmentation-Targeting-Positioning: targeting Shoppers, Savers and Professionals in this period and
increaser the online stores distribution.
