Gamma Correction changes in 3ds Max

Issue:
In 3ds Max 2014 or later the option to change the File Input and Output gamma no longer exists
 (http://www.autodesk.com/)

Causes:
The option has been removed to ensure alignment with the industry standard values of gamma 1.0 for linear
workow (32-bit les) and 2.2 for non-linear

Solution:

You can modify the "CurrentDefaults.ini" le found in the following location:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMaxDesign\2015-
64bit\ENU\en-US\defaults

* The above path assumes 3ds Max Design 2015 - English. Modify if necessary to suit your installed
version

The gamma settings can be found near the bottom of the page

Alternately you can use a release before 2014 to modify the results (Save as a previous version to be able to
do this). The values will then be preserved when opened in later versions.
