PROBLEM DEFINATION
1. INTRODUCTION
An information system is an integrated set of components for collecting, storing, processing, and
communicating information. Business firms, other organizations, and individuals in contemporary society rely
on information systems to manage their operations, compete in the marketplace, supply services, and augment
personal lives.
Now a days, mostly service industries have shifted themselves to information system it ease the work of the
company and approach of the customer are also better. As the world is moving fast now people look how a work
can be quickly completed and the information system helps in this. Data can be easily stored by the company as
well as the customer can easily do their booking, get information about the particular firm etc.
Our project report is on HOTEL named SPAR LEISURE INN. It provides information regarding hotels
rooms and suits, dinning, meeting and events rooms. Our website also provides the facility of online reservation.
The hotel offers tastefully modern guestrooms and suites. Many rooms boast spectacular views of the city's
historic diplomatic district. All rooms are exquisitely appointed with contemporary Asian furnishings. Our
generously-spaced suites offer the very best in luxury living. Stylish and abundantly spacious with fabulous
interiors, provide an exclusive retreat from the city.
Local and international guests alike can look forward to choice Indian, Mediterranean, Asian and Italian
specialties, authentically prepared and graciously presented. In addition, the hotels Bar and Lounge offer an
extensive selection of wines, single malt whiskeys and cigars for a relaxing end to the day.
Located on Level One, overlooking the lush manicured terrace, Spars Ballroom is an ideal venue for important

meetings and banquet celebrations. Its contemporary and luxurious interiors offer latest state-of-the-art
convention and conferencing facilities
1.1 OBJECTIVES OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM:
1. Today Internet is the fast way of transferring Data and Information over wide area, hence we have
used internet as a way for exchanging information with the consumer.
2. It automates the process of tracking details of the customers in safe and secure manner while
reducing the chances of manual errors.
3. Making the reservation process easy and simple for consumers so that they dont have to face
difficulty in booking it.
4. The system allows the data retrieval information quickly and easily, improving operational
effectiveness and efficiency.
5. Computerization of the official works will help in doing lot of manual work quickly.
1.2 PURPOSE OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM:
1. To facilitate monitoring of operations at low levels and frees up resources for departmental managers to
devote time to strategic activities
2. To minimize information overload, this can be quite common with conventional businesses in the
modern era.
3. To ensure better planning and control
4. To facilitate aid decision making
5. To reduce the manual work
6. Easy data storage
7. To help in easy access by the customers. They can easily get the information about particular firms.
8. Less chances of errors.

1.3 PROBLEM WITH THE EXISTING SYSTEM:
1. Information systems cannot present all kinds of information accurately.
2. Thick information, which is rich in meaning and not quantifiable, is best suited to human analysis.
Example: employee evaluations need face-to-face communication to convey all information.
3. Information systems can be hard to develop.

Mr. Finni Shaji 
Managing
Director & Chief Executive Officer
Finni Shajis
experience in hospitality spans thirty years and four continents. In January
2003, Mr. Finni moved to India and joined the Board as Executive Director &
Chief Operating Officer of Spar Leisure Inn, overseeing the operations of all
luxury properties and playing a key role in the global expansion and development
of future hotels. He assumed the role as Managing Director & Chief Executive
Officer of The Indian Hotels Company Limited in July 2003.
Mr. Finni brings
extensive international hotel experience to the Spar in operations and
management. He most recently served fifteen years as the Vice President &
General Manager of The Mark in New York for The Rafael Group Hoteliers Monaco
and with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. His career includes a variety of
management assignments for over ten years with Regent International Hotels in
New York, Chicago, Dallas, Puerto Rico, Melbourne and Shanghai, as well as
training at some of the world</a>'s
most renowned hotels as the Hotel Plaza Athenee Paris, Le Montreux Palace
Switzerland and the Kahala Hilton Hawaii.
An American
national, Mr. Finni attended the cole Htelire Lausanne in Switzerland and

Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School. He was voted one of
the Top 10 Best Hotel Managers by Leaders Magazine from 1997-2002. Mr. Finni is
a Memberspan of
the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), International Business Leaders Forum
(IBLF) and is an advisory board member of The Leading Hotels of The World (LHW),
Cornell Hotel School Centre for Hospitality Research and Ecole Hoteliere de
Lausanne in Switzerland.

Ms. Sakshi Gupta 
Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing




Sakshi Gupta, Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, successfully leads and
enhances critical sales and marketing initiatives in India and abroad for the
Spar Group.

Sakshi oversees the sales and marketing function for Spar Group of hotels
worldwide encompassing the worldwide sales force, distribution, central
reservations, brand marketing, public relations, social media, marketing
communications and advertising. She has spent 28 years with Spar Group and was
Vice President Marketing prior to taking on this role in December 2011. She is
the only specialist to have served separately as Vice President Sales and Vice
President Marketing before taking the lead job to oversee both functions. She
has worked across most markets in India and abroad and has played an integral
role in the growth of Spar, including the recent Brand Architecture exercise and
the roll-out of the new Vivanta by Spar and Gateway brands.
She
is also on the board of several group companies such as Taj GVK Hotels and
Resorts Limited and PIEM Hotels Limited and others as well. She also represents
Taj in various industry organizations such as Hotel Association of India,
Experience India Society and Marketing advisory board of Leading Hotels of the
World amongst many others.

Mayank Makhija oversees hotel operations of the Spar Group and Palaces which
includes Spar Luxury Hotels - India and International, Spar Business Hotels,
Spar Leisure Hotels, Spar Spas, Spar Trade and Transport and Inditravels.


A career hotelier, Mr. Mukerji's experience spans 22 years and four continents.
He has spent almost 10 years as a General Manager and run several hotels that
have won international acclaim under his stewardship. His last assignment was as
