What? How dare you accuse the Democraps (or the left in general) of being
socialists, Marxists and communists. You guys have been watching too much
Glenn Beck.
This is one of the main reasons I left the Left. We were never honest about
who we were and what we believed. That’s because we wanted to dupe
average Joe’s in the Democrap Party to vote for us.

Maurice Hinchey (NY-22 and I never thought in my life I would know what
my congressional district was) is up for reelection this year. Some guy named
George Philips I think is running against him. I tried twice to volunteer to do

the campaign on us.

We now have a list. We can call it an Enemies List because they are enemies
of freedom, truth and what used to be known as the “American Way”. We can
call it a Hit List because these are the people we need to get rid of (with our
votes, of course).
I do wonder why the stinking cockroaches are finally coming out in the

I found this list about 3 months ago and wrote all 70 DSA members in
congress. NOT one response except from Ed Pastor (D-4th/AZ) who
answered back that he was not a socialist and they (DSA) took the names
from the Progressive Caucus and it was in error! Didn’t seem too upset by it.
Probably truely proud of his achievement!

These socialist scum will pull this country to its knees if they aren’t dealt with
by throwing them out and prosecuting them to the fullest extent of their

JJones. You have a point and we need to look carefully. Remember the slime
balls on the left aren’t stupid, but they are slime balls. This list is missing
some big names. Sen. Chris Dodd is a commie. He’s not on here. Why? There
are surely others with big names missing. Perhaps only some of the folks on
this list are legitimate socialist members, and the libs will “prove” that some
aren’t, and therefore will attempt to have us throw out the whole list. So
sorry libs. Your game is up.

Well, my main point is that this list just seems too good to be true. If this was
the actual list of the bonafide members of the socialist party that are in
congress, would it be so readily available on the internet. My guess is no. so
where did this list come from? who’s behind it? who gains from it’s
publishing? who gains from the hyper-reaction to it? too many questions
makes me pause.

I don’t doubt the validity of this at all, but like some of the other
commenters, I have my doubts that a list like this was actually published. I
think someone big on our side (Rush, Sean, or Glenn) would have been all
over it when it came out. I did a search, went to their website, and found
nothing. I don’t want to be spreading this around and look like a “kook” if it’s
not something that was actually published. Anyone have a link for something

The scribd post looks like simply an edit of that ridiculous American
Socialist Voter website.
Why use such a curious method to post that link? Something is incredibly
fishy. Perhaps the list was taken down from the original source, but a simple
screenshot would have been a far more incriminating piece of evidence.
Not to mention the fact that the American Socialist Voter website looks like
it was very hastily produced. It’s a horrible blog template (with at least one
section at the bottom still unfilled, with the default ‘insert photos here’ text
still visible!)
There may be validity to many of these claims, but I have some serious
questions. If this post is bogus, the entire cause does itself a tremendous
disservice by crying wolf at every dubious or manipulated sign of rampant
socialism.
To all the people who immediately ranted and raved in the comments section
without, I imagine, even taking 5 minutes to verify these claims for
yourselves…shame on you.
If you’re not willing to look at everything with a critical eye, and think and
research for yourself….If you choose instead to yell and scream and bang
pots in the street, you’re part of the problem. You’re part of the great,
unwashed mass of uneducated, ignorant pawns that are simply manipulated
and taken advantage of by unscrupulous powers on BOTH sides of the aisle.

Only 1 of my 5 Reps in CT ( all dems ) made the list, Rosa Delaurio. All the

That’s always been the problem with the “2″ party system in the U.S. One
thing about the Europeans; you know where a candidate stands. They run
under the socialists, communists and green party banners. Here in the U.S.,

The Democratic Socialists of America is a marxist party that was formed out
of the old Democratic Socialists Organizing Committee of Michael
Harrington and some of the older Socialist Party of Norman Thomas.
It is different than the pathetic remnants still called the “Socialist Party” and
it is more marxist and more anti-American. The fact that is has so many
members of Congress in it shows how far and deep marxism has gotten into
the body politique.
However, we must keep the two groups separate – DSA and SP, otherwise we
will mislead readers as to who is really who.

The Socialist Party of America has not existed since 1973 and split into three
very different groups. The wrong brand has been applied here, Social
Democrats are the right-wing and are anti-communist, Third Way,
reformers. Take a read through Wikipedia to know the differences before
posting ignorance and fear-mongering.

“I saw that the New Deal was only superficially a reform movement. I had to
acknowledge the truth of what its more forthright protagonists, sometimes
unwarily, sometimes defiantly, averred: the New Deal was a genuine
revolution, whose deepest purpose was not simply reform within existing
traditions, but a basic change in the social, and, above all, the power
relationships within the nation. It was not a revolution by violence. It was a
revolution by bookkeeping and lawmaking. In so far as it was successful, the
power of politics had replaced the power of business. This is the basic power
shift of all the revolutions of our time. This shift _was_ the revolution. It was
only of incidental interest that the revolution was incomplete, that it was
made not by tanks and machine guns, but by acts of Congress and decisions
of the Supreme Court, or that many of the revolutionists did not know what
they were or denied it. But revolution is always an affair of force, whatever
the force disguises itself in. Whether the revolutionists prefer to call
themselves Fabians, who seek power by the inevitability of gradualism, or
Bolsheviks, who seek power by the dictatorship of the proletariat, the
struggle is for power.
Now I thought that I understood much better something that in the past had
vaguely nibbled at my mind, but never nibbled to a conclusion — namely,
how it happened that so many concealed Communists were clustered in
Government, and how it was possible for them to operate so freely with so
little fear of detection. For as between revolutionists who only half know
what they are doing and revolutionists who know exactly what they are doing
the latter are in a superb maneuvering position.
At the basic point of the revolution — the shift of power from business to
government — the two kinds of revolutionists were at one; and they shared
many other views and hopes. Thus men who sincerely abhorred the word
Communism, in the pursuit of common ends found that they were unable to
distinguish Communists from themselves, except that it was the Communists
who were likely to be most forthright and most dedicated in the common
cause. For men who could not see that what they firmly believed was
liberalism added up to socialism could scarcely be expected to see what
added up to Communism. Any charge of Communism enraged them
precisely because they could not grasp the differences between themselves
and those against whom it was made.”

Democratic Party. We work with those movements to strengthen the
party’s left wing, represented by the Congressional Progressive Caucus.”

As for the police and the highways and the trash, sharing the cost of any
public service through taxation isn’t Socialism; it’s sharing the cost of a
public service when that public service can’t be delivered profitably by
business. The overwhelming majority of goods and services delivered in our
economy are still delivered by private businesses, not government; that’s not
how things work in a Socialist economy.
It’s been tried on every continent for nearly 100 years, and you and your
comrades persist in the delusion that it can be made to work with just a little

website, but didn’t find the information. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong
place. Can you send me a link. Thank you.

Kudos..
[But communists could not be wrong. After all, their knowledge was
scientific, based on historical materialism, an understanding of the
dialectical process in nature and human society, and a materialist (and thus
realistic) view of nature. Marx has shown empirically where society has been
and why, and he and his interpreters proved that it was destined for a
communist end. No one could prevent this, but only stand in the way and
delay it at the cost of more human misery. Those who disagreed with this
world view and even with some of the proper interpretations of Marx and
Lenin were, without a scintilla of doubt, wrong. After all, did not Marx or
Lenin or Stalin or Mao say that. . . . In other words, communism was like a
fanatical religion. It had its revealed text and chief interpreters. It had its
priests and their ritualistic prose with all the answers. It had a heaven, and
the proper behavior to reach it. It had its appeal to faith. And it had its
crusade against nonbelievers.
What made this secular religion so utterly lethal was its seizure of all the
state's instrument of force and coercion and their immediate use to destroy
or control all independent sources of power, such as the church, the
professions, private businesses, schools, and, of course, the family.

The Democrats have put socialists in charge of their members on the Ways
and Means Committee, the Banking and Small Business Committees, The
Science Committee, the Veterans Committee, the Resources Committee and
the Judiciary Committee. In fact, there are five members of the Progressive
Caucus on the committee currently holding hearings on the Inquiry of
Impeachment for Bill Clinton.

Then there were middle groups like the New Party (which others, such as the
president, joined) to give some distance.
Then there are others who just are socialists who won’t join a group….
PS
Thanks to our dumbed down educational system, many younger people
don’t even understand why it’s wrong / bad for people to be socialists…. the
graphic up top is a good reminder. The scum who ran the ‘USSR’ did not call
themselves communists. We only use that fictional word here thanks to
guidance from ‘liberals’. No, they called themselves socialists…

So you all actually believe this is a literal list of Socialists in our government?
wow.
I used to think that I just had political and philosophical differences with
conservatives , but I’m starting to think that you are really kind of dumb. I
mean this is an obvious phony list.

Progressive caucus does not equal socialist any more than conservative
caucus equals fascist.
They are simply the left and right wings of american capitalism. Exaggerating
and making wild claims does no good for this great country of ours.

As others have pointed out, there hasn’t been a “Socialist Party of America”
since 1972. (Instead we have the Democratic Party, CP-USA, Socialist Party
USA, etc.)

I suggest readers educate themselves before making judgements. The groups
website is http://www.dsausa.org/about. By the way, they do not consider
Obama a socialist! We all need to educate ourselves when we read articles
(from the left and the right) because there is so much mis-information out
there. We need to make sure we understand what we are reading before we
judge. This country is headed in the wrong direction with so much hatred
that is based on lies!!

I beg to differ. What is misleading is the implication that there is any intrinsic
difference between Communism and Socialism. They are the same basic
ideology working under different time frames — i.e. Communist have
repeatedly shown themselves willing to use force to facilitate immediate take
over and Socialist go the slow, steady route of infiltration, manipulation &
indoctrination. No apparent difference in end results — social oppression &
economic stagnation.

For all the “why would they publish their names?” doubters out there, read
the last couple of lines of Karl Marx’s “Communist Manifesto”.
It Reads; ” The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They
openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow
of all existing social conditions. Let the ruling class tremble at a Communistic
Revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They
have a world to win. WORKING MEN OF ALL COUNTRIES UNITE!”
The Socialists feel they have all the power they need right now and are ready
(and doing it, it may be argued) to openly seize power and reject the
Constitution of the United States. Obama’s policies and disconnect with the
sheep who voted for him is obvious to most everyone including the
independants who voted for him and the inevitable cabinet of commies he
would bring with him to the oval office.
As can be inferred from this last statement, Obama and Congress are
intentionally pushing us towards the brink of disaster to get the general
public to accept and EMBRACE the totalitarian ethic they desire so much.
Don’t give up hope, we are not all defeated by their words and deeds just yet.
We must prevail against the forces of darkness they are trying to force upon
us by exposing them to the light of day with their own rhetoric and actions.

hmm let’s connect the dots. to understand why there are so many socilaists
on the Judiciary committe one must understand what the Judiciary
committee is responsibile for:
So can you say the fox guarding the chicken house. the socialists now have
the power to decide immigration and border issues, what and who is
“subversive”. what judges get appointed etc.
this is just one more datapoint of the socialist takeover of this country from
within.

First off using a Soviet symbol reveals bias and not knowing the difference
between socialism and communism. But then most in the states don’t know
and stupidly label all the same. But the real issue is just trying to stir the
angry conservative mindset which labels and demonizes anyone and
anything that is not like them. With that job done well for you continue
spreading fear and illusion.

To Jeff, #203 — Go ahead and argue semantics, you useful tool. The fact of
the matter is that communists understand that it is difficult to go directly
from capitalism to communism without a bloody revolution, so they push for
socialism instead. Socialism is just a rest stop in the long march to
communism. Pull your head out of your butt and understand that the
“progressives” — whether labeled communists, socialists, Marxists, liberals,
Leftists or whatever — mean to destroy capitalism and with it the entire way
of life we cherish as free men. I intend to remain a free man.

Whether or not the list is valid, we must all review the voting history on
candidates and any bills they have sponsered (and/or added pork to).
Several decades ago as a poor farm boy, I might have supported
redistribution of wealth to enjoy things more fortunate had. In a couple more
decades I might again be tempted to support redistribution to see my final
years end in modest comfort (it seems that all I have worked for and saved is
gradually being eroded by actions of the US leaders and congress). But if this
was the way, I would not have much incentive to work hard to better myself
and quite frankly the US would at best be a 2nd world country.
Trucker provided some good links which I am not yet sure in what extent to
accept: http://www.notmygovernment.us/home/
http://www.pacinlaw.org/error/
I do know that we forget that the US government was established to join and
protect the individual 13 original governments (nations), yet we continue to
allow the takeover and abolishment of States Rights and individual freedom.
The way things are going, I am tempted to support a division of the US and
stick with the ‘Grass Roots’ section.

#203 Reprised –
The little fish sees a flash of sharp, white teeth and cries out, “Watch out,
everyone! There’s a shark coming!”
Another little fish, laughing at the first fish, says, “That’s not a shark, you
idiot. It’s a barracuda.”
“Who cares what it’s called? It looks like a mouth with fins to me!” shouts the
first fish, “Swim away!!”

Oh the ironing with freedom loving conservatives. All these freedom lovers
so ready to give America back to corporate socialist. How do you feel about
your freedoms being determined by people much richer than you in back
rooms and board meetings? It is one thing to dislike the democrats in control
but to be ready to pull the lever for anyone claiming to be a “conservative”
right now is letting the wolves back in the hen house. Remember, you can
vote out elected officials, not stake holders.

Mr. Hoft, I think that you have fallen for some false-flag skullduggery. One
of the websites says that these 70 are members of a PAC. Now these 70 may
be dancing on the knife-edge of advocating socialism and some may actually
