Nature and Health Effects of Environmental Issues

1. Improper waste disposal can spread communicable and parasitic diseases.


Waste water from factories can cause thermal pollution which can upset aquatic ecosystems. Likewise, the
total increase in the bulk of solid waste may pose many problems such as health and safety hazards.

area where fishes depend for food might also die.

5. Pesticide Drift. Pesticides and herbicides maybe linked with cancer, birth defects, miscarriages and nervous
system disorders in people living closed to the sprayed areas. They can also contaminate ground water
which is the primary source of drinking water of people.
6. Deforestation. Destruction of forests may cause soil erosion and flash floods and may contribute to the
increasing problem in global warming.
