Lesson Plan in English for Grade 10

I. Objectives
At the end of one-hour period, the students will be able to:
a. listen to simplify, reorganize, synthesize and evaluate information to expand, review,
or update knowledge (EN10LC-IVa-16);
b. distinguish the important points from less important ones in any listening text (EN10LC-
IVb-16.1); and
c. play a part in individual and group activities to enrich learning.

III. Procedure
A. Motivation
1. The teacher will ask somebody to recapitulate the recent topic.
2. The teacher will link the past lesson to the present by asking the students the
personalities they know who engraved their names in history.
3. The teacher will present a picture of Amelia Earheart with a scrambled letters of her
name and will ask the students to arrange the letters correctly.
B. Presentation
1. The teacher will discuss the less and most important information to be noted.
2. The teacher will read the story of Amelia Earheart and will ask the students to take
down all the important information about her.
C. Activity
1. The students will do the activity called Fill Me Up
2. After the activity, the teacher will ask some students to share to the class what they
did.
D. Application
1. The students will be asked to make their own graphic organizer showing Amelia
Earhearts aviation career.
E. Generalization
1. The students will play the activity called Brain Twister.
