Many thanks, the client really enjoyed looking through your

portfolio and said that you clearly have talent.

We now want you to produce the photographs that will be

used in the new Camden brochure.

The photographs need to make Camden appear:

Vocational Scenario or
Modern and vibrant
Context
Show the local amenities and attractions
Sell Camden as a happy, safe and exciting area to
visit
We need to have at least three exterior and three interior
shots and would like you to utilise lighting/depth of field in
an interesting/creative way. We are really looking for a
range of shots that are a creative response to the brief.

Topic C.1 Develop concepts for digital photographs for

a media product from a brief

Add blog posts that outline the following considerations:

1. What is the brief purpose, target audience, form

2. Create a mind map that outlines your initial ideas
based on the brief
Task 1 3. Look at existing brochures what are good/bad about
them
4. In light of your analysis of the brochures review your
own initial ideas
5. Do a trial layout - sketch out/photograph 4 test shots
do they work in terms of
framing/lighting/focus/mise en scene how could you
improve them do you think that they fit the brief?

Topic C.2 Considerations for digital photographers

For the ideas that you have produced above you need to
consider whether they are fit for purpose and whether they
are doable. You are looking at the opportunities and
challenges provided by the brief and your response to the
brief.

Consider your ideas in terms of the following and produce

blog posts that cover all 7 points

1. What you are going to shoot is it suitable and

available in terms of space/time/resources/personnel
needed (logistics)
2. Do you need to book anything e.g approach

3. Do 4 more test shots that are improvements of the
first 4 and upload them to your blog
4. Image resolution, pixel size, ISO
5. What will you need to consider when shooting the
exterior shots?
6. What will you need to consider when shooting the
interior shots?
7. Complete a simple risk assessment for each
photograph you are planning on taking please
upload the risk assessment to the blog
8. Do you need to give out permission letters? Please
post a copy of this letter. Do you need this?

Topic C.3 Production of digital photographs for a

media product

With all the prep work done you can get on with shooting the
final photographs for your Camden brochure. These may be
developed/improve versions of photographs that you have
already taken for your planning.

The photographs that you produce must fulfil the brief as

well as fulfilling the following criteria:

3 or 4 exterior shots
3 or 4 interior shots
Task 3
Lighting must be considered for both interior and
exterior photographs
Mise en scene must be considered
Framing must be considered
Depth of field must be considered
Rule of thirds/use of lines and textures etc
You may also want to be creative with
focus/aperture/zoom/exposure/shutter speed

Please name the photos/store them on the computer then

upload them to your images gallery
