The inhibitor does not plate out on clean metal. It leaves steel bright. METHOD OF USE: a. Circulation: Utilized for derusting and descaling process equipment in refineries, utilities and chemical plants. Also, an extremely fast and effective method of cleaning piping systems, boilers and evaporators, condenser and chillers of cooling system. 1, The unit or equipment to be descaled should first be flushed with a strong alkaline solution (DORON NEUTRALIZER), if such organic oil deposits like slime and algae are present in the system, which impede the chemical action of the descaler solution. If light scales or rust are present then proceed to step 2. 2. Drain and rinse thoroughly. 3. Prepare a 50% solution of the descaler; (1:1) water/descaler mixing ration, ump into system, and circulate with an acid-proof pump, from bottom up to ‘ensure complete coverage of all interior surfaces for 24 hours or less depending on nature of scales to be removed. 4. Drain and rinse with clean water, through circulation process for at least 3 hours. 5. Refill and neutralize the water with DORON NEUTRALIZER to dissolve acids that might be present in the system for at least 2 hours, 6. Rinse with clean water by circulation process for at least two (2) hours, until pH of final rinse water is natural (6.5-7.0). b. Filling and Soaking: Essentially used in the same manner as circulation but without Mechanical circulation of the solution. It may be applied through the open manhole. However, care should be taken to avoid contact with eyes and other sensitive body parts. Rust and scale removal is entirely dependent on the chemical action of the descaling solution. Application is the same as circulation method such as pre- cleaning, rinsing and final neutralization should be maintained.
