When we use the negative, we dont add -s or -es to

the verb with the third person.

INTERROGATIVE SENTENCES Examples

TO DO + SUBJECT + VERB? Do I walk? Do you jump?
Does he sing? Do we play?
DO YOU SING?
Do they run? Does she study?

When we use the interrogative, we add -es to the

auxiliary verb to do and not to the principal verb
with the third person.
WHEN DO WE USE IT?
We use the present simple to talk about things that happen as a routine, as a habit, things that happen
normally or every day.
When we use the present simple, we usually use the following frequency adverbs: always, every day, usually,
often, sometimes, rarely, hardly ever, never

Examples
I have a coffee every morning. They never share their toys.
He always eats cookies for breakfast. She walks to school sometimes.
We usually dont travel for Christmas. You rarely play with your sister.

We also use it to talk about regular facts or scientific facts.

Examples
Birds migrate for the winter. She works for a big company.
Madrid is the capital of Spain. Wild Animals search for food.
Kids love cartoons. We dont eat healthy.

Present simple is also used to talk about events that will happen in a near future.

Examples
The game is tonight.
The plane leaves at nine.
The festival starts tomorrow morning.

And we also use it as the imperative form.

Examples
Take that from the floor.
Open the door.
Do your homework.
