Job Title: State Team Lead


Job Summary: The State Team Leader will be responsible for the overall field-based technical and
programmatic leadership and implementation of quality HIV/AIDS services at the state
level.
Relationship: Project Lead and Senior Programs Officer -Technical
Location: Ondo ( Overseeing Ekiti)

PHRI Formerly known as Hygeia Foundation is implementing Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and
Malaria, (GFATM) Project under the New Funding Model implementation in 5 states as Sub-
recipient (SR) under the Family Health International (FHI360) who is the Principal Recipient (PR)
for HIV/AIDS component of the Global Fund.

PHRI is charged with the responsibility to provide Treatment Adherence, Care and Support
services to clients in all Global Fund supported facilities in 5 States which are; Osun, Ondo, Ekiti
and Kwara states.

Job Description:

Serve as lead PHRI representative for the organization program in the state
Provide technical oversight and direction to the design and delivery of all HIV/AIDS service-
related activities targeted at increasing the quality of HIV/AIDS services to MARPs and their
partners.
Monitor and provide oversight over all PHRI state activities; lead in activity planning, reporting
and communications with the National office.
Provide the technical direction/technical assistance in budgeting, control and monitoring of
financial advancements according to the organization and or grant policies.
Ensure quality of HIV/AIDS services using current national guidelines especially the 90 90 90
strategy.
Ensure adherence to timelines, submission of deliverables and push state team to comply with
to all deadlines.
Lead program monitoring, evaluating, and periodic reporting as related to HIV/AIDS service
delivery, in coordination with M&E team.
Represent the program (technical HIV/AIDS component) at all state meetings
Ensure the program remains compliant with terms outline in MOUs and GF regulations.

Qualification
MBBS with minimum 5 years in a supervisory role. MPH, MBA or other professional management
certificate is mandatory.

Required Competency:
Candidates applying for this position are expected to possess the following competencies:

a) Experience in project development with proven experience in the planning and


facilitation of training is required.
b) Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.
c) Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly
desirable.
d) S/he should have a good hands-on experience with Microsoft office package and ability
to demonstrate above-average computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel.
e) Other skills required for this position are; excellent communication (verbal and written),
organizational and administrative skills.
f) The ideal candidate must be attentive to details, highly organized, flexible and self-
motivated.
g) S/he must be able to meet tight deadlines and targets with prioritized efficiency.
