1. EDI at SKODA AUTO - Project SKODETTE

The objective of the Project is to provide for electronic data exchange amongst the
individual Skoda Auto plants. Project SKODETTE supports current EDI processes
and aims to do away with paper documents as much as possible. EDI links form the
base of effective cooperation amongst suppliers, carriers, and customers.

Project SKODETTE supports the following areas:

! EDI in financial area
! Factoring
! webEDI
! CAx

1.1. EDI in Logistics

This document describes the process of productive material deliveries and use of
standard EDI messages between SKODA and its suppliers.

Like other VW plants, SKODA communicates in VDA, ODETTE, and EDIFACT

formats.

1.2. SKODA Specifics

EDI delivery notes are generated as files bearing their own name and there are other
specifics to be considered in connection with deliveries to the Skoda Auto plant.

SKODA uses the VW Group system in IVZ, Wolfsburg, as the host system for
acceptance of delivery notes. Suppliers to SKODA currently mailing delivery notes in
the 4913/AVIEXP/DESADV format to VW should contact the relevant workers of
competence at Skoda in order to set up an EDI connection jointly. Once the
necessary authorization is entered, data can be operatively forwarded Skoda. It is, of
course, essential first to get a supplier-specific number from SKODA.

2. EDI Partner

Absolutely all EDI Partners must use the following means of communication for
mailing EDI messages. Suppliers currently not using EDI communication with
VW/Audi will find important information on EDI data exchange with VW/Audi on the
following Internet page:

Information on EDI communication with Skoda Auto you can find on website
http//edi.skoda-auto.cz. The webEDI solution is currently available only for suppliers
located in the Czech Republic.

2.1. Setting up EDI Communication with Skoda Auto

The order of activities with EDI application is as follows:

! Complete the suppliers EDI parameters on the website http//edi.skoda-

auto.cz and send to Skoda
! Take over and set up EDI Skoda parameters from the website
! Check call-offs with Mr. Nettl, mailto: michal.nettl@Skoda-auto.cz
! Mail EDI delivery note to IVZ Wolfsburg, SID = R11, and simultaneously
advise competent persons, Messrs. Kumbera and Nettl, using mailto:

Competent persons at Skoda must save your EDI parameters and EDI call-offs and
mail them back to the supplier. Fill in these EDI parameters to a form on the website
http://edi.skoda-auto.cz , section EDI Parameters and send to Skoda. This is
prerequisite to suppliers identification by Skoda.

Skoda EDI parameters for setting up your system are available on the website
http://edi.Skoda-auto.cz/forms/profilcommer_en.htm. Please do not use these
Skoda EDI parameters for a transmission of delivery notes if not agreed with
Skoda before!

2.1.3. Data Flow of EDI Call-offs

Call-offs are sent from the sender (SKODA) directly to the message recipient
(supplier, carrier, customer). Call-offs are transferred from IVZ SKODA to the
suppliers server/computer as shown in the following picture.

Since the recipient of EDI delivery notes for Skoda Auto is VW Wolfsburg, Skoda
therefore recommends to transmit them directly to IVZ Wolfsburg. In
exceptional cases, e.g., technical problems, EDI delivery notes may be transmitted
directly to Skoda.

Suppliers to the VW Group are to transmit EDI delivery notes directly to IVZ
Wolfsburg, SID = R11. It is essential to set up the Wolfsburg receiving station
(SFID/SSID) for EDI delivery notes for Skoda. The data flow between participants of
the EDI connection is shown in the following picture.

2.2.3. Most Common Errors

Skoda specifics must be correctly entered when mailing an EDI delivery note.
Receiving cannot process files containing errors. Shipments of goods delivered with
data containing errors cause extra costs to Receiving; these costs are accounted and
billed to the party at fault, e.g., the supplier. Division of Claims will bill suppliers
whose transmission data contained errors. A list of the relevant fees charged is
available on the following web page http://oldpartner.Skoda-auto.com.

3. Carriers Setting

SKODA uses services of area carriers for picking up and transporting goods from
suppliers to SKODA plant.

3.1. Deliveries of Materials

The Skoda companys various delivery concepts rely on complete and accurate
exchange of electronic data. Proper setup and use of EDI delivery notes is therefore
required of all suppliers of production materials.

We expect EDI delivery notes not only from our traditional suppliers, but also from
external companies, such as external warehouses or service providers. We expect
them to transmit standard VDA 4913-3,4, ODETTE-AVIEXP, or EDIFACT-DESADV
messages.

Along with EDI delivery notes, we also expect issuance of accompanying notes as
per VDA 4912 Standards. This document is to be presented to Receiving, if no EDI
delivery note is available due to a disposition error.
