Section A. Define the following words (18 pts):

1. Google Drive Collaboration - By sharing a file with people, you can collaborate and edit in

real time.

2. Comments button - If you click the comments button, a thread of comments will appear that

have been sent on your document.

3. Share button - by hovering over this button, you can see the files visibility settings.

4. Cursor - When someone is typing or selecting text, a brightly colored cursor will show you

where they are in the document.

5. Adding comments - Comments let you add a short note to any string of text. Select the text

you want to comment on and press comment.

6. Currently Viewing and Chat - By clicking in the area, you can see and chat with the other who

are currently viewing the document.

7. Additional sharing options - Some additional sharing options are deciding whether or not the

others can edit, comment, or just view.

8. Revision history - Click this to view previous versions of this file.

1. Explain how to Share a file with a small group: To share a file with a small group, you can

click share and type the email addresses of the people that you would like to share it with.

2. Explain the steps to Share a link: To share a link, you need to select the file and press share,

and click get shareable link.

3. What are the Advanced Settings in the Share tab?

In the share tab, some advanced settings are: choosing exactly who has access, and what type of

person can access it. For example, specific people vs. Publicly.

Section C. Critical Thinking (6 pts):

1. In your opinion, what kind of files should you not share publicly? Explain the risks.

Some files that you should not share publicly are personal files. Files that contain personal

information should never be shared publically, especially if it can get edited or deleted

accidentally.

2. What are some benefits of using the Advanced settings in the Share tab? Explain.

It is a good idea to use the Advanced settings so that you can decide exactly who can view, edit,

or comment on your document.
