FOLKLORE

The subject is designed to assist students to understand the nature of folklore as well as to
explore the functions of it in society. Since it is a body of common knowledge, performed in
certain social contexts according to certain methods of performance, it exists in the minds of
groups of people and takes shape when uttered or otherwise communicated. Therefore, the
study will observe, investigate, explore, define, redefine, and revisit the very nature of
folklore both as social archaic and thoughts.
