This design was made for Izze, a refreshing drink company. The
bold design and innovative styling was reflected in the contrast of
colors, unique typography, and creative photo placements. Made
as a student at BYU-I, I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to
create this magazine advertisement.

The Idaho National Laboratory needed a publication to communicate

the impacts for 2016. They required an infographic feel, while
conveying high amounts of information. By using a mix of Adobe
InDesign and Illustrator, they received this 80 page book full of great
information that any college student would sit down and read.

Posters and Brochures are a great tool for businesses to use to

elevate their credibility and gain customers. The following posters
and brochures were designed for companies to take to events
to entice their readers to keep reading. By using efficient color
schemes, creative use of typography, and unique layouts, I was able
to help the companies to reach their goals.

The SpringerMaterials database is the largest resource for properties, figures and graphs in materials
science. A unique and authoritative data collection on chemical and physical materials, the database is
principally based on the Landolt-Brnstein Series with critically reviewed physical and chemical data for
numerous areas of materials science research.

Date: Thursday, June 29

Time: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Place: IRC-602 Room 120 or via webinar

Infographics are a great way to visually represent alot of information

in a little space. Readers respond very well to well made graphics,
and can be used on multiple platforms. By using Adobe Illustrator, I
created the following Infographics used for print and digital use.

Eastern Idaho has a special connection to space exploration. In 1969, NASA sent
Apollo 14 astronauts to Craters of the Moon National Monument to train for
future moon walks. Today, Idaho National Laboratory employees working at the
Space and Security Power Systems Facility (SSPSF) continue this tradition by
helping NASA explore the solar system.
Located at INLs Materials and Fuels Complex, the purpose-built
SSPSF was designed and constructed in 2004 to assemble and test
Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators (RTGs), which are used to
CRATERS OF
power spacecraft. At the most basic level, RTGs work as space

Did yo u kno w?
The United States has been using RTGs since the 1960s,
including on the Apollo 14 mission manned by
Idaho-trained astronauts.

Assembling an RTG requires collaboration with

other scientists and engineers across the nation.
Beginning when NASA selects the next mission,
INL employees have approximately five years to
prepare for the launch.
Once assembled, the team spends months
testing the RTG to ensure that it will
successfully withstand the rigors of space
travel. The RTG will have to operate in the cold,
dark vacuum of space, after lasting through an
extreme launch sequence and, in the case of a
Mars rover, surviving a planetary landing.

At the INL-sponsored Museum of Idaho exhibit Space: A

Journey to the Future, folks can see RTGs in person, exhibited
with other exciting space technologies. A twin of the generator
that powered New Horizons past Pluto in 2015 is on display, as
well as a 3-D model of the RTG currently providing electricity
to the Curiosity rover.

Branding is a crucial step in any company. It is important to have
a brand identity, and know your target audience. By companies
working closely with graphic designers, they can add value and
credibility to their business. I used Adobe Illustrator for the following
logos and branding.

One of the best tools a company can have in their arsenal is a

fantastic website. By creating a graphic friendly and direct content,
businesses can increase sales and information ten fold. I create
web design through different tools such as Adobe Illustrator and
Photoshop while also making the site user friendly, multiple platform
ready, and search engine optimized.
