EQUITY BENCHMARKS ERASED ALL GAINS IN LATE TRADE MAY BE DUE TO PROFIT
BOOKING AHEAD OF THE LONG WEEKEND. THE SENSEX LOST 240 POINTS FROM ITS
DAY'S HIGH TO END FLAT.THE RALLY THAT LIFTED THE NIFTY TO OVER 9,800
LEVEL WAS LARGELY ON HOPE OF NO IMPACT ON FISCAL DEFICIT AFTER THE
GOVERNMENT STUCK TO ITS BUDGETED MARKET BORROWING FOR THE CURRENT
FISCAL YEAR.
THE RESERVE BANK OF INDIA'S (RBI) BIMONTHLY MONETARY POLICY DECISION IS
SLATED AT 14:30 IST ON WEDNESDAY, 4 OCTOBER 2017. THE CENTRAL BANK HAD
CUT POLICY REPO RATE BY 25 BASIS POINTS TO 6% AFTER ITS LAST MONETARY
POLICY MEETING IN AUGUST, REDUCING THE KEY POLICY RATES FOR THE FIRST
TIME IN THIS FISCAL YEAR.
MARKIT ECONOMICS WILL UNVEIL THE RESULT OF A MONTHLY SURVEY ON THE
PERFORMANCE OF INDIA'S SERVICES SECTOR IN SEPTEMBER 2017 AT 10:30 IST ON
THURSDAY, 5 OCTOBER 2017.
