The study of the relationship between entertainment and water

sport through creating tourism attraction and development
(sport tourism) in Bushehr coasts

Abstract
The present research aimed to study of the relationship between entertainment and water sport through
creating tourism attraction and development (sport tourism) in Brusher beaches. This researchs statistical
population includes domestic tourists who traveled to Bushehr city and they selected shoreline which was
the main center of sport tourism in Bushehr. This researchs statistical population also included 100
number of people participated in research. The method of this research i s survey and field method and it
was done by comparative-inductive reasoning. This is an applied kind of research. It was done in the 2015
in the Bushehrs beaches. A questionnaire which consisted of 32 questions was used in order to collect
information in this study. Questionnaires questions has been constituted from two parts whose first part
includes personal characteristic and the second part was closed questions in which nominal and ordinal
scale of five-option Likert spectrum was used and the questionnaire was scored in range of very little 1
and very much 5. Their analysis in questionnaires reliability was confirmed by using Cronbach Alpha
correlation coefficient equal to 0.83 and it is offered to statistical samples. Researchs findings showed
that it was observed a significant difference between disproportion investment with abilities, the effect of
water sport development in the increase of income of zones people, water sports attractions variety in
the tourists attitude toward zone, the effect of Bushehr zones attitude regarding facilities in
touristsattitude which were respectively placed at the 1 up to 4 ranking. The results of Friedman ranking
test showed that more investment in Bushehr zone can have the most effect in order to attract sport
tourists. Therefore, municipal, cultural heritage and other authorities must try to develop this zone as
more as possible to create transformation in facilities and organizing and achievement developmental
goals of physical education in the Bushehrs beaches.

Introduction
Sport tourist as the third common industry in the world with two goals including income-making and
employment-making is considered as the one of the societys main resources in line with reaching to
economic, social and cultural goals (Beik mohammadi, 2004). This kind of tourism has been very much
growth in the recent decade. Many of this countries in this field take action toward research, planning,
investment and especially and marketing and they have been able in this zone to develop tourism in its
country and benefit from its very much advantages in the economic fields.(Ramadani and Foroghi -2009).
Tourism is the main source of income and employment for host zones population. (Zeitonley- 2007).
According to published statistic in different countries, about 20 up to percent sport tourist have been
known as the main reason of their travel and excursions constitute more than half of the travels whose
reason is sport. (Moeen Far- 2008). Tourism and sport are two vital components of worlds economic
which has very much effect on today population. (Abbasi- 2013). So, sport tourism is one of the tourism
development sections which have been allocated about 32 percent of global tourisms achievement and
success respecting the statistic. (Honarvar-2003). Sport tourist has been converted into social-economic
events at the universal level beyond an industry in such a way that most of the countries have understood
this industrys benefits through many investments and it has been as the main source in order to improve
economic, social and political condition. (Hall et al- 2010). They studied in a research tourism potencies
and determining time appropriate range to attract sport tourism at the Anzali beaches. They evaluated the
relationship between climate elements with sport beaches activities such as swimming, aerobic sports,
football, umbrella games and road running by using Ki and Mopeloo and other models. They studied in
their research the main sport tourisms abilities and resources in Gillan province to develop sport tourism.
The findings showed that there has been significant relationship between Gillan provinces abilities and
sport tourism development. (Lee -2003). The noticeable points are these that sport tourism category has
been up to now neglected in Iran because of lack of enough cognition, lack of management and absent of
modern and specified strategies and unique opportunities in country have been lost. Frequent economic,
social, cultural and environmental benefits and effects at the sport tourism environment and
understanding the importance of having a healthy and happy population by managers, planners and
officials and also peoples tendency toward having active and dynamic holidays and entertainments
indicates that the necessity of attention to sport tourism category in country is inevitable. (Brian - 2010 -
Needham Mark & Szuste). They evaluated in a study the sustainable effects of beach tourism assessment
and entertainment in Hawaii. They have known managerial strategies as the effective factors in order to
develop beach and entertainment tourism development in Hawaii and they have stated above strategies
respecting different social, resources, and equipment and facilities factors. (Van der Zee & Egbert- 2011).
This research studies development of sport and sport entertainment from four aspects including variety of
attractions related to water- entertainment sport in zone, the effect of contact of Gonaveh section in the
facilities of tourists attitudes toward zone, the effect of entertainment-water sport development in the
peoples income increase and disproportion investment with zones abilities which is under study.

Research method
The present research aimed to study the relationship between water sports and entertainment through
creating tourism attraction and development in the Bushehrs beaches. This researchs statistical
population includes domestic tourists who traveled to Bushehr province and they selected shoreline which
was one of the main centers of sport tourism in Bushehr. This researchs statistical sample includes 100
numbers of people who participated in research. This study was done by the survey and field method and
it is a comparative-inductive study. This is an applied kind of research. This was done in the summer of
2015 in the beaches of Bushehr. A questionnaire including 32 numbers of questions was applied to collect

information in this study. The questionnaire was offered firstly to 5 numbers of experts and they are
requested to state their opinion in this regard and questionnaire was confirmed by them. Questionnaires

numbers of questions, the effect of Bushehr zones contact regarding facilities in tourists attitude was 7
numbers of questions, the effect of Bushehr zones contact from some components such as
infrastructures, management, culture in the fields of water-entertainment sport in the tourists attitude
toward zone was 7 numbers of questions, the effect of water sport development in the increase of income
of zones people, water sports attractions variety in the tourists attitude toward zone was 3 numbers of
questions, investment in the infrastructures related to water - entertainment sport proportioned with
Bushehrs zone abilities was planned equal to 5 numbers of questions. Information collection method was
done in this manner that the questionnaire was offered and distributed to Bushehrs domestic tourists who
had travelled to main sport centers of Bushehr. Data collection and distribution prolonged about 2
months. This researchs statistical method was used to assess construct validity and reliability by using
SPSS and copied 16 that significance level was considered between p0.05 and p 0.01.

Findings
The obtained results showed that among 100 numbers of samples, who participated in this study, 43
numbers were women and 57 numbers were men. This researchs sample included 40 married and 60
single persons. 15 numbers of participants had associate degree, 28 numbers had bachelor degree, 50
numbers had master degree and 7 numbers had PhD. Degree. Respecting level of income, those who
earned lee than 800 thousand Rial were 17 number, 800 thousand Rial up to one million one hundred Rial
were 44 numbers, one million one hundred Rial up to one million five hundred Rial were 25 and higher
than one million five hundred Rial were 14 numbers of people. Respecting obtained ranking average
results, lack of proportion with abilities of ranking average (1.59) at first rank, the effect of water sports
development in the increase of peoples income with ranking average (1.50) at the second rank, variety of
water sports attraction in tourists attitude toward zone with ranking average (1.35) at third rank, the
effect of contact of zones people regarding facilities in tourists attitude with ranking average (1.27) at
the fourth ranking were respectively placed at the 1 up to 4 rank.

Therefore, there was observed a significant difference between lacks of investment proportion with
abilities, the effect of water sports development in the increase of peoples income of zones people,
variety of water sports attraction in tourists attitude toward zone with ranking average, the effect of
contact of zones people regarding facilities in tourists attitude and at first, the implementation of sport
entertainment and sport development in order to attract tourism at the Bushehrs beach, these cases and
then priority must be considered. Lacks of investment proportion with abilities of zone can have the most
effect in order to attract sport tourists compared with other mentioned cases in this researchs hypotheses.

Discussion and conclusion

This present research aimed to study the relationship between water entertainment and sports with
creating tourism attraction and development at the Bushehrs beaches. Sport development and sport
entertainment was under study regarding four aspects including: lacks of investment proportion with
abilities, the effect of water sports development in the increase of peoples income of zones people,

variety of water sports attraction in tourists attitude toward zone with ranking average, the effect of
contact of zones people regarding facilities in tourists attitude. The obtained results showed that
majority of tourist were single man owning Masters degree with an income between 800 up to one
million thousand Rial. Researchs results showed that execution and development of sport and sport
entertainment at the Bushehr including attraction development related to swimming and swooping, diving
and boating (sailing, taekwondo and raging waters), fishing and hunting, ski on water, football,
volleyball, coastal handball and surfing and creating variety in the fields of water sport can be effective in
the tourists attitude toward zone. So we can conclude that execution and development of sport and sport
entertainment at the Bushehrs free zone can be effective in Bushehrs future tourism. The obtained
results in this research showed that Bushehr zones enjoyment regarding some facilities such as existence
of backup space for supplying temporary accommodation such as canopies, toilets, etc. designing
temporary catering services and semi-sustainable such as seasonal restaurants and shopping centers,
designing an appropriate place for showing sea creatures, fishes and diving as the large aquariums,
providing facilities for offering inter-water services such as sea excursions, water taxi and providing
facilities for holding tours and sport competitions related to zones space under study can be effective and
useful in tourists attitude toward zone. So it can be concluded that investment in the Bushehr city in the
fields of water-entertainment sports respecting abilities in the sport tourism field in this zone can have a
positive role in the increase of Bushehrs people income and also accomplished investment in the
infrastructures related to entertainment-water sports and other talented space are not proportion with its
abilities that this affaire implementation can leads to business and employment improvement at the
Bushehr zone. Respecting obtained results, it is suggested that the possibility of more tourists presence
and consequently business space improvement at the Busheher should be provided through increase in
water sports tourism at the beaches and creating competition in order to attract tourist in order to increase
the tourist attraction and advertisement and marketing which are the main factor in specifying and
developing water sports tourism and also respecting this fact that some of the water sports such as skiing
and diving are expensive. According to researchs history and results of sport and sport entertainment
development and enjoyment the components such as infrastructures, management, culture in the fields of
entertainment-water sport at the Bushehr city zone which includes zones economic development in order
to attract tourist and consequently business and employments improvement and increase in peoples
income which has been a necessary affaire and it is suggested that Bushehrs physical education,
municipal, cultural heritage and other resources should have a pursuing effort in order to develop as much
as possible this section to create transformation in the facilities and organizing and achievement
developmental objectives.
