Job Description: Full Stack Software Engineer

This job description sets out the scope of the role of Full Stack Software
Engineer at AKTEK, together with the main duties of the position. It does not
include or define all tasks that may be expected to be carried out. Duties may
vary from time to time without changing the nature of the position or the
level of responsibility.

Requirements

3+ years of Full Stack Software engineering experience as part of a versatile

team.
Proficient understanding of Ruby On Rails.
Proficient understanding of Docker and micro service architecture.
Proficient understanding of SQL Databases including PostGres.
Good understanding of Non-SQL Databases, including MongoDB and Neo4J.
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks,
including jQuery.
Proficient understanding of ReactJS.
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates,
and AJAX
Experience with working in distributed teams and remote work.

Bonus: Previous start-ups experience.

Scope of Role

Be part of a team of software developers building industry leading, robust

and innovative software solutions that are targeted at fragile environments.
Utilise the department's development infrastructure, development processes
and software programming techniques and provide feedback as appropriate.
Contribute to building a productive, pleasant remote working environment
using the senior team members as role models.
Position reports to the Lead Engineer.

 Key Responsibilities

Assist with the Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Documentation

of the FUSION engine.
Development of new software tools as required by AKTEK.
Development of improvements to our existing solutions (Mobile, Media)
Assist in the estimation of tasks, identify possible obstacles and propose
appropriate solutions.
Follow company data protection and cyber security guidelines in all stages of
work.
Liaise with Business Development and Data Science department and provide
support as required.
Make sure all company deadlines are met.
Provide 8 hours of daily work.
