Description:

RMG(Royal Mail Group) is a postal service company in the United


Kingdom and it is a subsidiary of Royal Mail Group Limited. Operates the brands Royal Mail
(letters) and parcels worldwide. The company provides mail collection and delivery services
throughout the UK.
The parcels or letters received from the customers and they will scan the parcels for
generating barcode. There are two types of barcodes 1D Barcode and 2D Barcode.
Previously 1D Barcode now there is replacing with 2D Barcode. When scanning is performed
one XML document will generate that will come into MQ. From MQ we will pull the XML
document and load it into WORK and BASE tables.

Responsibilities:

Involved Extracting the data from Message Queues and loading the data from Work
tables.
Performed transformation logic after pulling the data from work table and loading it into
the base table.
Extensively worked with Data stage Designer for developing various parallel jobs using
Dataset and Transformer stages.
Worked with the Lookup and Transformer parallel stages.
Used MD5 algorithm in MQ to work jobs this will create duplicate id for same data for
this used remove duplicate stage to remove duplicate data.
Designed Sequencer to automate the whole process of data loading.
Involved in peer reviews.
Performed Unit Testing.
Involved in System Testing and fixed the issues.

leadership position as a full service General Insurance provider in India. As LTGICL is
venturing into a new field, it needs to create the business processes and IT systems to
support it from ground up. As LTGICLs strategic IT partner, IBM is committed to build an IT
platform that will support LTGICLs immediate and medium term business goals.
IBM understands LTGICLs business objectives of transforming the existing Indian General
Insurance industry through business model innovations based on a more customer focused
approach, expanding and enriching distribution models and bringing down costs. The primary
objectives of the project are to design, implement and maintain a Comprehensive Information
Technology Solution for the proposed General Insurance business, consisting of:-
Core Policy Administration System
CRM system for Sales, Marketing and Customer Service, LTGICL Enterprise Portal.
Supporting applications such as Document Management System, Business Intelligence and
Reporting.
Integrating with other applications in the enterprise such as Micro-Insurance Application
(Gradatim).
Lead & Activity Management system, SAP-General Ledger (GL), AP (Account Payables),
AR(Account Receivable) ; Call Center etc.
Data Center and Network Infrastructure and Disaster Recovery site.

Responsibilities:

Involved in the extraction, transformation and loading of the source data to the target
Oracle database.
Extensively worked with Data stage Designer for developing various parallel jobs using
Sequential file and Transformer stages.
Worked with the Join, Merge, Lookup and Sort parallel stages.
Removed duplicate data from the source system by using Remove Duplicates stage to
enhance high quality processing of the incoming data.
Designed Sequencer to automate the whole process of data loading.

required.
