Communication from Stars Elite

All information regarding your team will be sent out by email. You need to sign up for
updates at http://www.listcast.com/x?oid=1023208p (please do not sign up until you have
received your team placements). It is important that you check your email regularly and
keep your details up to date to ensure that you don’t miss important information.

Practice Days/Times:
Mini Purple (Tamworth) Sunday 2.30-4.00pm
Junior Coed (Tamworth) Sunday 4.00-5.30pm
Stunt Groups (Tamworth) Sunday 5.30-6.00pm
Senior Coed (Tamworth) Sunday 6.00-8.00pm
Senior Silver (Birmingham) Tuesday 7.30-9.30pm

Tuition fees – payable at the 1st practice of each month.

• Mini and Junior teams - £20 per month
• Senior teams - £25 per month
Tuition fees can be paid in cash (in an envelope labelled with name, team and details of
payment), by cheque payable to Stars Elite (with name, team and details of payment on
reverse) or by standing order (account number 01166347, sort code 30-92-99).
Please note that fees remain the same each month, regardless of the number of practices.

Registration Fee (new cheerleaders only)

£10 – due at first practice along with first month’s tuition fees

Competition Payments – please note that these are estimated costs based on previous
seasons. A more detailed competition payment schedule will be issued early in the season.

*Please note that if you compete on more than one team, your competition registration fees will increase.
*If you prefer to arrange your own transport/accommodation, then these fees will of course not apply.

Uniform
Each cheerleader is required to purchase a uniform. The cost of this has not yet been
confirmed but is likely to be in the region of £100+. Fundraisers will be arranged to
subsidise the cost of uniforms. More details on uniforms will be announced in due course.

Practice Wear
Cheerleaders are required to wear certain colours to each practice, according to a
schedule that will be released early in the season. Stars Elite merchandise can be
purchased – an order will be placed in October:
t-shirts (various designs) - £12.50 / hoodies - £20.00 / shorts - £15.00 / bags - £TBC

Other costs
Plain white trainers are required for competitions. Cheerleading shoes are recommended
(required for flyers) and are available to purchase at www.futurecheer.net,
www.livingcheer.co.uk, www.cheershop.co.uk and www.scotcheerallstars.com.
Hair bows for practice can be purchased from www.bowstar.net with a discount for Stars
Elite members – see Anna for details. Competition bows will be provided and do not need
to be purchased.

Late payments
Cheerleaders that fall behind with payments will not be allowed to practice. This may
affect team placements. Please ensure that you do not get into this situation by keeping
up to date with payments. If you know you will have to pay late, please let Anna know
when you will be able to pay.

Code of Conduct
Please see the next page for our code of conduct. All cheerleaders and parents/guardians
of cheerleaders (under 18) are deemed to have accepted the code of conduct by joining
Stars Elite.

Code of Conduct
• I will not be involved in any disrespect towards any members of the Stars Elite staff, parents
or cheerleaders.

• I understand that every time I miss a practice my team cannot practice effectively which will
have an impact on our success at competition.

• I understand that missed practices for reasons such as (but not limited to) birthday parties,
homework, last-minute exam revision and mild illnesses/injuries are not viewed as excused
absences.

• I understand that missing practice as a punishment is not acceptable due to the impact on
other members of the team, and may result in dismissal from the team.

• I understand that any absence in the 3 weeks prior to a competition can lead to my position
being changed or removal from the team for that competition.

• If I am unable to attend a practice, I will let my team coach know in writing as far in advance
as possible.

• If I am sick and will miss practice, I will let my coach know by telephone call or text as far in
advance as possible.

• I understand the importance of punctuality and will arrive at and be picked up from all
scheduled events on time.

• I will remain committed to Stars Elite and understand that missing practices to train with
another programme is unacceptable.

• I will not participate in negative gossip or communications that adversely affect Stars Elite.

• I will not post any negative comments on websites or in chat rooms.

• At competitions I will conduct myself with respect and integrity, displaying positive
sportsmanship towards other teams at all times.

• I understand all athletes at Stars Elite are expected to arrive at practices and competitions
with a positive attitude and give their best effort in every endeavour.

• I will not use inappropriate language.

• I will not eat in the gym except in the kitchen area, and will keep my drink on the drinks
shelf.

• I understand that parents, siblings and friends are welcome to stay and watch practice but
must make sure that practice is not disturbed (particularly by young children).

• I understand that training does not end when I leave the gym and will practice, condition and
stretch at home between training sessions.

• I understand that unexcused absences, being disrespectful to team mates or staff, continued
failure to make payments, or any other behaviour that causes problems for my team or coaches
can result in me being dismissed from my team.

• I understand that if I quit or I am removed from the program or from a competition, I will not
be entitled to a refund of any kind.

By joining Stars Elite, I acknowledge that I have read, understood and fully accept the
above code of conduct.
