Ref: - From the Chief Engineer (Projects) Mahabubnagar Letter.No.CE (P) MBNR/Genl/2488, dated 25.1.2008 poeed The guidelines issued by the Government and the Chief Engineer entral Designs Organization from time to time on finalization of Designs have been ‘reviewed and the following further delegation of powers are ordered for finalization of the designs of structures submitted by the EPC Agencies for timely completion of the Projects with immediate effect. 1 ‘The designs of all off take sluices on the canals are to be approved by the Chief Engineers concerned of the Projects. They may delegate powers to Superintending Engineers concerned for lesser discharge canals as per necessity. All the Single lane Bridges are to be approved'by the Chief Engineers concerned irrespective of distharges in the canals. \ The proposals of structures on canals at crossings of National High Road: ways, g be furni to the respective departments T€. National Highways and R_& B Departments, and approval for the designs shall be obtained from the concerned departments. 66 fio ‘The Location of any Direct pipe outlet on the main canal shall be invariably approved by the Chief Engineers concerned in order to avoid indiscriminate proposals of direct pipe outlets on the main canals . The Chief Engineers may approve the alignment and Hydraulic particulars and designs of CM & CD works on the canals upto a discharge of 45 cumecs instead of present 30 cumecs. The Chief Engineer, Central Designs Organization shall approve alignment, Hydraulic particulars and designs of CM & CD works for the canals above 45 cumecs. Irrespective of Canal discharge and where the discharge of drain is more than 150 cumecs the design of CD work shall be approved by the Chief Engineer, C.D.O.6. The concerned Executive Engineers shall act as Nodal Officers for approval of designs of CM & CD works by the Chief Engineer, Central Designs Organization's office. Necessary immediate action in this regard shall be taken. A fortnightly report on the approvals of Designs shall be submitted to Government by the Chief Engineers. 2. All the Chief Engineers/ Superintending Engineers who are dealing with the projects are requested to follow the above guidelines while finalizing of Designs of structures, submitted by the EPC agencies for timely completion of projects .
