Q&A JUSTIN MCCRAY

with Justin McCray

By Green & Gold Express Staff

Packer: Justin McCray

Number: 64
Position: Guard
College: Central Florida
Season: 1
Height/weight: 6-foot-3, 317 pounds

Q What kept you going? You entered the NFL in 2014, spent
a year in the Arena Football League and hadnt played an
NFL snap until the opener and didnt play a snap on offense
until you started at Atlanta.

A I just felt like I could play. My brother and I, we had

been working out for a while and Ive seen him work
and seen him play and hes seen me work and seen me
play, and we both kept encouraging each other because
we knew we could play. We just needed an opportunity.

Q Is it hard to keep that mind-set when everyone else is

saying, No, you cant play.

A It was definitely tough. I thought about getting a

regular job a couple of times, but theres nothing I
enjoy more than this, so I figured I should chase it as long
as I can.

Q What was it like between you and your brother? (Note:

McCrays twin brother, Jordan, competed for a spot on
the Packers roster in 2014 and served two stints on the
practice squad that year. He spent this season with the AFLs
Cleveland franchise.)
