 JUSTIFICATION
The millwork selected add dimension, protection, and an extra interesting color
palette to the space while remaining completely sustainable. The colors selected are
extended tones of colors already selected in the space. The Caf Sienna Laminate is an
extension of the main orange color spread throughout the space. Used as a countertop
surface and conference table surface, it is extremely durable and easy to clean. It is a
much needed solid that compliments the natural textures in the center. A denim acryllic
surface is a new, refreshing surface that has most likely not been seen before. With the
correct coating, it is also durable and easy to clean and adds to the urban feel of the
center. The Torzo Tiikeri recycled gorgham straw surface and Torzo recycled Douglas
Fir applications add some dimension to the walls and textures add to the organic nature
of the space. The Tiikeri surface will be placed horizontally while the Douglas Fir will
have a vertical placement along the walls and ceiling, going along with the urban,
cityscape aesthetic seen also in some of the other finishes. They can also be finished with
a low-VOC, non-toxic sealant that makes them durable and a breeze to clean. Together,
all of the finishes together will present an industrial, fast-paced city type setting that
portrays the high energy feel the client desires with a new, urban yet organic, green
twist on sustainability.

Maintenance Instructions
1. All Torzo products can be cut, machined, and sanded with standard
tooling. Face masks should be worn during any fabrication or cutting.
2. Keep the material flat to prevent bowing. During fabrication, keep

surfaces as clean as possible.
3. Keep material dry during fabrication. Materials should be glued to
plywood or MDF to ensure a flat surface.
4. Material should be sealed with at least one sealer coat and two
topcoats minimum. A conversion varnish or polyurethane type
coating is recommended for high traffic areas/commercial settings.
5. Material should not be exposed to excessive high heat or wetness,
such as showers, steam rooms, or sub-mounted sink applications.
6. Surface scratches can be repaired using rubbing compounds.
7. Once sealed and coated, materials can be wiped clean with mild
cleaners and water. Do not let water sit on surface to prevent warping.
