About the University
Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University has come
into existence by an Act of the Jammu & Kashmir
Legislative Assembly called the Jammu &
Kashmir Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University
Act No. XVI of 2002. The motto of the university
is Iqra bismi Rabbik alladi Khalaq which
means, Read in the name of God who has created
all that exists. It reflects the vision and idealism

About the Department
The Department of Electronics and Communication
Engineering was established as one of the core
departments of the university. The department
currently runs B.Tech programme in Electronics
and Communication Engineering. Since
Electronics and Communication is one of the
oldest and most widely researched and applied
field of Engineering, so the focus of department
is soley to aware the students about know-how,
latest advancements and innovations in field
of Electronics and Communication.
The department adopts latest course structure Signal and Image Processing
a n d s y l l a b i a s adopted by various Transmission of Numerical Images
Universities, IITs and NITs with regular Embedded System Security
revision. The Department provides students with Wireless and Mobile Communication
state-of art labs to keep up with the latest Optical Communication and Networks
