I feel awful today. I hate being ill! Id like to go somewhere, but I must stay in bed. Id like to eat

My parents believe that children should become independent as soon as possible. So, when I started secondary

CHICKPEAS

1 _____ Chickpeas are very healthy. They are excellent for vegetarians because they give you the
goodness that you miss from not eating meat but without the fat. They give you energy and they are very
tasty.

Mediterranean area. The biggest producer of chickpeas, though, is India where many people dont have
enough money for meat.

all. I dont think theres anything else they really remind you of. Theyre different to any other food.

4 _____ They are but you need to be prepared. It is best to put them in water overnight and then boil them
for about an hour the next day. If you dont, you will have to boil them for a long time to make them soft.
After that, they are no problem to cook.

the chickpeas until they are soft, mix them with onions and eggs and make small balls of the mixture.
Then you fry them and eat them with bread and salad.
