 Adam Levine

My Idol is Adam Noah Levine or Adam Levine. He was born on March 18, 1979
(returning 38 this year), in Los Angeles, California. He is an American singer, songwriter,
multi-instrumentalist, actor, and record producer. He is the lead vocalist for the band Maroon 5.
He formed his first band named Kara's Flowers, while attending the private Brentwood School
with his friends and fellow students in 1994. But sadly, the band split up after their only
album, The Fourth World (released in 1997), which did not gain popularity.

In 2001, the group was reformed with guitarist James Valentine joining the line-up
and began a new musical chapter, changing their name to Maroon 5. In 2002, the band released
their first album, Songs About Jane, which went multi-platinum in the US. Maroon 5 earned
their first Grammy Award as the best new artist in 2004. The band also won Grammys for best
pop performance in 2005 and 2007.

Songs About Jane was followed by It Won't Be Soon Before Long (2007) and Hands All
Over (2010) which featured the smash hit "Moves Like Jagger" which peaked at No. 1 and No.
2, on the Billboard chart. Levine has also found success along the way by appearing on other
musicians' albums, working with such superstars as Kanye West, Alicia Keys and Natasha
Bedingfield.

In 2012, Maroon 5 returned to the charts with its fourth studio album, Overexposed,
featuring hits like "One More Night" and "Payphone" with Wiz Khalifa. The band
continued to enjoy great popularity with its next album, V (2014). The album contained hits
"Maps" and "Animals."

Adam Levine began branching out into television in 2007, when he made a comedic
appearance on Saturday Night Live. He also appeared on Comedy Central's A Night of Too
Many Stars and had a cameo on Jimmy Kimmel Live. In 2011, Levine made the jump to a full-
time TV gig as a judge/coach on the reality series The Voice, and in 2012, he landed a role on
the series American Horror Story.

In 2013, Levine proposed to Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo. They married on
July 19, 2014, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Two years later, they welcomed their first child, a
baby girl they named Dusty Rose.

He's ridiculously talented. He's not just the lead singer of a three-time Grammy Award-
winning band; he also writes or co-writes the majority of their songs and plays multiple
instruments. No matter what he's doing, he always does it with such tremendous energy. Levine
might be a rock star but he's the most unlike a rock star you'll ever meet. He's got a big heart
and is so incredibly genuine. Between his musical talent, his sparkling personality and how
down to earth he is, Adam Levine is way more than just a pretty face - and impossible not to
love.
