George Esteves is a versatile singer/pianist and drummer, his parents are Eduardo
Esteves from Portugal and Angela Esteves from London.

George moved at a young age to Portugal and started taking piano lessons at the age of
seven.

By the age of fifteen he was already performing as a singer/pianist and also as a jazz
drummer at the Casino Estoril near Lisbon.

Since a very young age George was always interested in many styles of music and to this
day believes that there are only really two types of music: good music and bad music.

Even though George was very much into the more contemporary Pop, Rap and Rock
music he also listened to his parents record collection and was very influenced by Swing,
Jazz and Bossa Nova artists.

By the age of eighteen George was already a seasoned entertainer and came to live two
years in England with is parents and two brothers and studied music at the Bournemouth
and Poole College.

During his stay in the UK George met Band leader Eddy Robinson and after listening to a
demo of George singing tunes from the great american songbook he invited George to
perform live with his sixteen piece orchestra in a tribute to late Frank Sinatra.

At age 20 he returned to Portugal where he started to perform regularly as band leader


and singer/pianist in major casinos, hotels and also cultural centers including the
prestigious CCB - Centro Cultural de Belm.

In 2010 George teamed up with his two brothers and traveled to the U.S to perform in
venues around New Jersey with Al Greens organ player Thomas Mclellan a.k.a. T-Bone.

In more recent years George has been performing regularly at Cascais Jazz club run by
Maria Viana who is one of Portugal's most prominent jazz singers. During this time George
also got the chance to perform with world class musicians such as saxophonist Art Themen from the
UK, Philip Hamilton (Percussionist and singer for the Pat Metheney group) and pianists
such as Giacomo Aula and Gianluca Tagliazucchi from Italy.

At the beginning of 2015 George and his two brothers Danny and Riqo joined forces with
veteran promoter Byron Orme and released their debut album for BKO Productions called
The Illumination Experience. The album is comprised of all original music and is available
on all online digital platforms.

In late 2015 George moved once again to the UK and become a regular guest at the world
renowned Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club In London, Soho where he performed alongside
saxophone player Renato D'Aiello not only as sideman but also main attraction.

George Is currently living in Portugal and performing in the two main jazz clubs in Lisbon,
Hot Club de Portugal and Cascais Jazz club.
