The school of Catering and Hotel Management is very happy to announce a short term certificate
course in Bakery and Confectionery - Joy of Baking. It is aimed at familiarizing students in
making their favorite products and possibly any one of bakery item of their interest can be baked
by themself. It also serves as an added qualification for one to seek part time employment in
bakeries as baker/confectioner or may be evolve into an entrepreneur.

Course title : Certificate course in Bakery and Confectionery - Joy of Baking.


Duration : 12 weeks (every Tuesday and Thursday)
Time : 5 pm to 7 pm
Date of commencement : 24th October 2017
Selection : First come first serve basis
Course fee : Rs. 8000/

Course work
Bakery: Black forest cakes, Fondant cakes, Brownies, Pizzas, Doughnuts, Cookies.
Confectionery: Compound chocolate (bean to chocolate, cocoa powder to chocolate),
Chocolate chips, Couverture chocolate, Jelly beans, Lolly pops, Jujubes, Panning (sugar and
chocolate).
