Ephesians 4:11-16

Chapter Parallel Compare

11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to

equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach

unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole

measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the

waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of

people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in

every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body,
joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each

part does its work.

Titus 1:7-14

Chapter Parallel Compare

7 Since an overseer manages Gods household, he must be blamelessnot overbearing, not quick-

tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. 8 Rather, he must be

hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined. 9He

must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others

by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. 10 For there are many rebellious people, full of

meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group. 11 They must be

silenced, because they are disrupting whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach

and that for the sake of dishonest gain. 12One of Cretes own prophets has said it: Cretans are

always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons. 13 This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that

they will be sound in the faith 14 and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the merely human

commands of those who reject the truth.
