L-3/T-1 Students
The first presentation of L-3, T-1 students on Course# NAME338
(Ship Design Project and Presentation) will be held on 11th
November 2015 (Wednesday) at 2.30 p.m. . Each group will get 7
minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion.

The concerned students are asked to submit their Power point files
and AutoCAD drawings to Ms. Nabila Naz, Mr. Md. Shumon Mia
and Mr. Miad Al Mursaline by 12.00 p.m. on the same day. All
students must attend the presentation during whole session.

Topics to be covered are:

1. Principal particulars
2. Preliminary light weight, deadweight and displacement calculation
3. Preliminary general arrangement
4. Preliminary lines plan
5. Preliminary hydrostatic calculation

NOTICE
For L-3/T-1 Students
The second presentation of L-3, T-1 students on Course#
NAME338 (Ship Design Project and Presentation) will be held
on 17th June 2013 (Monday) at 2:00 p.m. sharp in the seminar
room of CE Building. Each group will get 8 minutes for
presentation.

The concerned students are asked to e-mail their Power Point

slide and AutoCAD drawings mentioning their group name to
Ms. Sharmin Shabnam (shabnam@name.buet.ac.bd) by
12:00 p.m. on the same day. The students are also asked to
show the model representation of their project along with the
presentation. All students must be present from the start to the
end of the presentation.

Topics to be covered are:

6. Scantling.
7. Detailed Lightweight & Deadweight Calculation.
8. Approximate Trim & Stability Calculation.
9. Model Representation (Hull form together with Superstructure).

11th June 2012 at 2.15 p.m. sharp in the Seminar Room of CE
Building. Each group will get 8 minutes for presentation.

The concerned students are asked to submit their Power Point slide
and AutoCAD drawings to Ms. Sharmin Shabnam by 12:00 p.m. on
the same day. The students are also asked to show the Model
Representation of their project along with the presentation. All
students must be present from the start to the end of the
presentation.

3. Rudder and Propeller design

The Fourth and Final presentation of L-3, T-2 students on Course#
NAME338 (Ship Design Project and Presentation) will be held on 6th October
2012, Saturday at 2.00 p.m. sharp in the Seminar Room of CE Building. Each
group will have 15 minutes for presentation.

The concerned students are asked to submit their Power Point slides and
AutoCAD drawings to Ms. Sharmin Shabnam by 12:00 p.m. on the same day.
The students are also asked to show the Final Model Representation of their
project along with the presentation. All students must be present from the start
to the end of the presentation.

All groups must show these topics in the presentation:

1. Final Principal Particulars
2. Final General Arrangement
3. Final Lines Plan
4. Final Hydrostatic Calculation
5. Final Scantling
6. Final and Detailed Lightweight and Deadweight Calculation
7. Final Trim and Stability Calculation
8. Final Resistance and Power Calculation
9. Final Engine Selection
10.Final Rudder and Propeller Design
11. Final Model Representation (Hull Form Together With
Superstructure).
12. Show/point out/compare the necessary modifications done to
reach the final stage of the design of the above items.

day. The students are also asked to show the Model Representation
